Sadara Resort is often celebrated for its serene atmosphere, with guests frequently admiring the cozy ambiance, live music, and personal touches that make their stay unique. Many praise the resort for its cleanliness and the spacious, comfortable rooms, although there have been mentions of maintenance issues like mold. While the staff's friendliness and attentiveness are highlights for most visitors, some have experienced lapses in service. The hotel's location is generally seen as a plus, yet it's noted to be a bit isolated from central Nusa Dua. Opinions on value and amenities are mixed; some guests feel the resort is a great value with much to offer, while others suggest improvements are necessary.

We were extremely happy with our stay at Sadara, what a pleasant surprise and great value for money. Although the front upon arrival may seem a little underwhelming, once you enter the beautiful reception area and enter the resort you come into another world. The resort is set on beautiful, lush, manicured and clean grounds. The resort is not overly large so it's lovely and a bit quieter, not with 500 people in the pool. Our room was clean, very spacious, bathroom large and we had a lovely daybed on front porch. The pool is large enough, never over-crowded, with a swim-up pool bar and lots of daybeds and sunlounges. The restaurant is gorgeous, clean, open-spaced overlooking the beach/sea, with tables, lounges etc. We had breakfast and afternoon tea included. What can I say...??? I cannot fault the service, the menu and the food. Breakfast was a-la-carte, they bring you a lovely tropical fruit bowl first and waitress comes around with tray of pastries. You then order amazing large serves of breakfasts. And more importantly, the coffee was amazing!!!! Made by morning. No request was a problem. We also ended up having dinner there 3 out of our 4 nights as the menu, the food, the service was amazing and great value. A shout out to Dewi and Indah (customer relations ladies) who were so friendly, charming and helpful. I would definitely recommend Sadara to anyone travelling to Nusa Dua and would stay there again. My only small complaint would be the lighting in bathroom could be a bit brighter so you can see mirror a bit better, but that didn't end up being a bit problem.

As a solo traveler, the friendliness and hospitality of the staff can really make a difference. The staff at this hotel was exceptional, and the value I received was very satisfactory..

Just some of the highlights included live music every night, a cooking class that was not advertised, but was just fun and informative and the food turned out extremely well, a massage and facial that really ended my trip in a relaxing nurturing way. They even showed a movie one night that was made in 1936 one of the last silent movies ever made, and it had been filmed in Bali.

My room was large and comfortable, per my request, I had a first floor room and it happened to be very close to the pool, which I particularly enjoyed, I just kept popping in and out. There is a swim up bar and a long happy hour(s).

The included breakfasts were tasty and attractively presented, à la carte with a nice diverse selection of entrées and included specially coffees, such as cappuccino.

Located next to a water sports center, I went scuba diving, to turtle Island and tented a jet ski. It was so easy because it was right next-door.

I usually do not like to just stay at a resort. I like to go other places and did a bit but ended up staying put much more than normal for me, an endorsement of how pleasant my stay was.

I give such a high rating only for the hospitable attitude of the staff, they really try very hard to please. Check-in was quick, we were escorted to our room by the girl-administrator from the reception and a white boy. The rooms themselves, as well as the hotel, obviously need renovation, this can be seen already in the lobby, the ancient letter “S” at the entrance catches the eye. Our room was the most ordinary, classic one, the view was facing the wall and you could hear the road very loudly, so I don’t recommend anyone to take it, even despite the favorable price. There was an unpleasant smell in the room throughout our stay. There is not enough light in the room, it is very dark. On the balcony, on the contrary, the light turns on automatically from the moment of sunset, and you cannot turn it off at your own discretion, you can only call an engineer who will unscrew the light bulb for you. They only bring water 2 small bottles of 0.33 per day, if you want not to die of thirst, you pay, and this is 5 stars?! The beach is all filled with algae, although it is lazily cleaned. There are no more than 3 sun loungers on the beach itself, it is very small. I advise you to lie near the pool, it’s comfortable there. Food: 4*, let's say. Dinner is better than breakfast, the fruit for breakfast was not always fresh, they sing for dinner every night, it gets boring. In general, I recommend the hotel if you take a high room category.

We booked this stay from looking online at all the great looking photos of the resort, the pool and beach. Unfortunately, upon arrival the hotel exterior did not live up to the images we saw online. The food at the restaurant was good, BUT the swarms of flies that descended on our meals really ruined my experience at the one & only restaurant.
The pest control is not up to speed. There were flies and insects in our room, we needed to buy a can of fly spray immediately upon arrival. The room was dark with strange dark brown tinted mirrors and low lights so it was difficult getting ready in the evenings, applying makeup etc. The room wasn’t serviced until we called reception at 5pm after being out all day - disappointing!
Fortunately, my complaints were well received and the hotel agreed with ease to refund 2 nights and we upgraded our stay to a hotel with a proper and enticing swimming beach, outdoor furniture you would want to sit on, and a fly free zone. I was grateful to the hotel that they co operated with my request for an earlier departure than planned.
I would say for a mid-level Bali type accommodation spend - you could do better, this resort is old, tired and needs work to improve its offering to tourists and its beach is no good if you really love the ocean and a good swim on holiday.

We already had our concerns about this hotel and the so called beach but as it was an extended stay we couldn’t do anything to change our plans. We were in room 101 and as soon as we walked in, there was this strange odour, we had a restless night due to this smell. In the morning, my wife decided to strip the bed and to our horror we found heavily stained pillows, mattress cover and mattress, everything stank of vomit!!
The pillows looked ancient as did the well worn and battered mattress but it was the overwhelming smell that got to us, we couldn’t believe that housekeeping would fit clean sheets onto such dirty, smelly bedding?
Thankfully we were moved but only after seeing housekeepers strip and replace the linen and exchange the pillows for others, what about that mattress?
In the evening we decided to have dinner at the hotel, the food was lukewarm and although we chose the same dish as the night before it was totally different??
It was explained that they had a different chef that night but why should that affect quality and presentation, it was perfect only 24 hours previous……
The beaches are also polluted, dirty and full of rubbish from plastic of all kinds to boat & jet ski fuel and oil, horrible seaweed also covers the sea edge (mixed up with all the other junk) and the sand is also just full of junk.
I will never come to Nusa Dua again and certainly not the Sadara hotel - it’s very sad that the local people and tourists use the place as a junk yard (mostly the locals). They need to seriously consider cleaning the whole area and put a stop to all these water sports that are only adding to the pollution for the sake of a quick buck.

Great hotel staff helpful and polite. The food was lovely and my intolerance to lactose was catered for without any problems. The rooms and common area kept very clean but could do with maintenance in places.
Also beware of the weird changes of level that seem to be every where some are tiny but enough to trip over

We loved our stay at Sadara!
The food is amazing and fairly priced, the location beautiful and the staff is the nicest.
We loved that it’s a relatively smaller resorts than the ones around so it feels more exclusive and tranquil.
We especially appreciated the service or Armiti, Risa and Esa at the restaurant, always serving us with a smile and helping out when needed. It made dinner time very enjoyable.
Dewi was also amazing, we had time to get to know her and appreciate her concern for the clients, her kindness and politness.
She gave us a lot of suggestions of things to see and places to visit.
We would love to come back!

This smaller hotel is situated on the beachfront. The ocean is not really suitable for swimming but the hotel pool was never overcrowded & pleasant to use. The restaurant had sea views from both levels. The food was good except for the "hot breakfasts" which were cold or lukewarm when served. Our ground floor room was spacious although the mosquitoes at night initially were a problem until we were provided with mosquito sprays & a repellent device. Perhaps all rooms should have been automatically provided with these. Our room had a day bed outside which was very relaxing. All staff were helpful & courteous & should be commended.

We stayed for 2 nights in September with breakfast included (150IDR) which was lovely and the local coffee was needed (there is a coffee place accross the road as well) plenty resteraunts to the left and right of the hotel. Facilties were good with beach access and plenty room to lay by the pool. The pool bar was great and we made use of the buy 2 get 1 free cocktails multiple times ❤️🍹 had an issue with our shower on day 1 and they sent maintenance straight away who fixed it main hotel areas were clean and tidy with tiles areas. Room was spacious and clean, bathroom was lovely but I would say that the shower heads need some attention as the metal is tarnished and looks unsightly and the one over the bath is designed to just blast you in the face 🤣 overall a great stay and would stay again

I always stay in Ubud in Bali, but once in a while I search for a hotel in Tanjung Benoa in an area near the sea. Even though the hotel faces the sea, there are few oceanfront rooms, so I finally found this one.

The rooms and verandas are large and all you can hear is the sound of the waves. I just want to look at the ocean and do some relaxing washing! It is perfect for those who are.

Breakfast is also very good and there is afternoon tea service with Indonesian sweets!

However, there are no tourist attractions within walking distance, and there are no temples where you can watch the dance like in Ubud, so if you want to enjoy them, charter a taxi or something.

Hello again......not sure about Jimbaran but we have also stayed at the Nusa Dua Beach Hotel and the beaches down that end ARE better than at Sadara but it is much more crowded in that area. I wouldn't describe any of the Bali beaches as excellent for swimming compared to Australian beaches but the resorts do have fabulous pools.

We didn't have an all-inclusive deal - just breakfast included, which was very good cooked fresh to order. We also had several evening meals there and the prices were extremely good and food excellent. We never choose all-inclusive as prefer to get out and about and as others have said there are plenty of eating options around the Resort and we like to support them as they are suffering from the many places that are now all-inclusive. Mr Bob's Ribs is a short walk up the beach and they are very popular. You also have the option of dozens of eating places at the Bali Collection - catch the free shuttle from the Resort if it is up and running again otherwise several restaurants there or further up at Benoa will pick you up and bring you back if you ring them.

Hi Ajay, Re transport from airport, I disagree strongly about trying to get a taxi from airport as they will rip you off. The recommended charge is 150,000 but the " official" taxi stand will try to charge anywhere between 350,000 and 400,000. ($35-$40) Bluebird have a stand also but they charge a minimum 350,000, depending on where you go to. Sadara will arrange a pick-up for US$20 which works out to around 200,000 and you are guaranteed the price. Also you can only get taxis at airport from the "official" stand or Bluebird as random taxis are not allowed to pick up. Do agree with comments about how beautiful the grounds are at Sadara so enjoy. Also agree about hiring a private driver to do day tours - we use Bali Essential Tours every time we go to Bali and they provide driver/guide for US$50 day, air conditioned vehicle, water, etc...full day, ;pick up around 8 am and back around 7 pm.
