Great rooms in a beautiful garden setting. A three choice breakfast was included in the very reasonable tariff. The staff were fabulous, especially Putu. The owner was present on-site directing the garden and maintenance team and the property was very well kept, inside and out. The meals were all delicious although not a huge selection for evening meals. Very limited warungs or restaurants close by but plenty back down the peninsula. The new Japanese restaurant Barong Tei was lovely and the food delicious, although quite expensive. We stayed 6 days and would come back but for fewer days, only due to the lack of restaurants and things to do.

This is a hidden treasure in Tanjung Benoa. Beautiful clean rooms with Ceiling Fans, Air Con, Rooms Safe and free Wi Fi. There is no swimming pool, but the beach and a multitude of water sports are just across the road, and less than 100m up the road there is a public pool that overlooks the beach. The pool is hardly used and 90% of the time you have it to yourself. Would definitely recommend this homestay as great value for money. Breakfast which is included in the price is served in a beautiful garden setting.

We booked Pondok Agung many months ago based on excellent Tripadvisor reviews. Last year we stayed in Pererenan (just north of Canggu), which we loved, but this year we split our 19 days between Pererenan and Tanjung Benoa so that we could experience the calmer waters of the Nusa Dua area. We were very happy we did because we found Pondok Agung even better than expected for a number of reasons. The staff ( particularly Wira on reception, and Putu, who helped him but also served breakfast) were always friendly, welcoming, cheerful and helpful which helped create a very homely atmosphere throughout our 10 day stay. We were there just as the Covid-19 crisis was building up momentum which not surprisingly put customers on edge, particularly as flights home began to get cancelled. Daiwe (or Daywe?), the Swiss-owners daughter, was so helpful keeping things calm and under control even when our own return flight through Singapore was cancelled. At one stage it looked like we might need to stay a lot longer but at the last minute we were able to leave via a completely different route and airline. Daiwe showed flexibility as our plans changed from day to day and always had a lovely smile on her face. In the end, when we left, we were very sad to leave this little oasis and miss it very much now we are self-isolated in England. Our room was spacious and very well equipped including very efficient air conditioning, a safe, a fully-equipped kitchen and tasteful furniture.Bed was of a good size and very comfortable The bathroom included a sizeable shower and the usual toiletries and everything was cleaned daily to a high standard. Breakfast was in two adjoining covered areas within a beautiful garden complete with tropical trees and plants with flowers and also a coi carp pond. Although next to Meads Bar and Restaurant and the main road that runs along all of the Tanjung Benoa Peninsular you never lost the feeling of serene isolation whilst on site. Taxis were well priced and quick to arrive and there were loads of great places to eat within walking distance though by the time we left many were forced to shut down due to a shrinking visitor base. Our favourites were Cafe Surya (10 minute walk and overlooking the bay towards Denpasar and positioned at the northern tip of the peninsula). They specialised in seafood and shellfish and we loved the chilli crab (a whole one very fresh and weighing half a kilo) and jimbaran prawns (also locally-caught, half a kilo and we had half as a starter in breadcrumbs and half as part of the main course with Nasi goreng and Mee goreng). We had a bintang, bottle of pleasant Aussie wine and bottle of water for £38 for both. That was a typical price for other places we visited including Cardoman (great duck and wonderful babi guling). We also ate well (and cheaper still) at Warung Seadoo and Bali Reef. Our favourite beach was Geger Beach, which cost about £3 each way by cab. Clear sea and plenty of choices for bintang, wine, water and food. We will return to Pondok Agung next year and can't wait to see you all!

Stayed here straight from airport and couldn’t have wished for better welcome to Bali.
Stunning gardens, great pool (and free use of pool towels too), lovely clean rooms, friendly helpful staff and best breakfast we’ve had in Bali. Try the banana juice. Excellent value for money.
Would highly recommend

We stayed a week with family, this place is outstanding for the rate.
Booked the same room as last visit to Bali in 2018, the room is well maintained (They even change the aircon, tv and some painting). Wifi is very fast (21 Mbps, important). The tropical garden and the swimming-pool are very clean. A full-time gardener is on site to take care of plants. All staff members are very helpful and very polite. We will definetely come again next time.

This small B&B exceeded all my expectations. From very first contact when we landed on Bali the staff of the hotel took great care of us. Finally by the end of our stay I felt like home. The place is peaceful and wonderful. Every single detail here is taken care off with lot of love and care, so its guests. The garden is a peace of paradise on earth. The room was cleaned every day. We had everything we asked for and more. Thank you so much for great hospitality and wonderful 10 days in Bali. I would happily come back again.

Lovely small hotel with Beautiful garden and pool. This hotel is run with love and care, you will feel very at home. Rooms are good Size with enough closets. Everything is super clean and Well maintained. Ask the staff for restaurant tip seadoo further up the Street. Great local Food, lumpia and Indian curries. If you want to use a pool by the beach you can use Tao’s if you eat there (more expensive). Hotel arranged AirPort drop At a good price, just tell the driver to take the toll road( add (11,5k ird ) and much! Quicker. Lots of Spa’s around. We liked home Spa. We stayed 2 nights when we took a trip from Bali to Perth. We could safely leave our big luggage at the hotel while away then stayed another night. Hotel has connecting rooms! All staff is very very kind !

Great peaceful accommodation located 100m from the beach. Spacious clean and well decorated rooms with AC & Fans. Clean bathrooms and plenty of water to wash away the days exertion. Lovely peaceful gardens with plenty of space to chill out.
Efficient airport pickup and drop off even at unsociable hours, cheap scooter & helmet hire ($5 per day), excellent fresh continental breakfast, tea/coffee and omelette ($2.50). Multiple local and western restaurants and hotels in the area.

Susi and the staff went out of their way to help me and i had a great 4 nights there. Thanks for a great stay, I would recommend the Pondok Agung to anyone. :)

This small hotel, 100 meters away from the beach, is really the best value I could imagine in this area. Large room with a very clean bathroom, on the first floor of a bungalow, we had our children just a communicating door away. Nice and large balcony.
The owner is a swiss and indonesian couple. They are proved to be not just nice and customer oriented, but really helpful and warm people : my wife had a peak of fever, and Roland, the swiss man, speaks Indonesian, (and english, and German) and French went with us to the local clinic (witch has proved to be a new and modern clinic with competent and dedicated people inside...) !
Looking around Pondok Agung there are very expensive resorts, or charmless hotel buildings. So, here on more proof of our luck of having choosen Pondok Agung !
