A lovely place to stay. Being refurbished at the moment and will be fully open by Easter. Lovely rooms. Large comfortable lounge/bar. Two minutes walk from train station, easy access from A9. Ideal as a base for touring the local area.

The Proprietor is friendly and nothing seems too much trouble for her. The breakfasts are excellent with a good selection of hot food, including vegetarian options and fresh fruit, cereals and yoghurt. There is a pleasant lounge where guests can help themselves to free tea & coffee and biscuits and and some alcohol with an honesty box. However, there are...

We loved our stay at the Merryburn. It was friendly, relaxed and great value for money. Perfect location for walking in the hills and woods around Birnam and Dunkeld. Good breakfast. Super-dog friendly.

Good distance from Perth and Dunkeld. Would return and stay longer in the area. Very relaxing. Owner spent time with us and made us feel welcome. Near Birnam railway station, although would need a taxi to hotel

I was a part of a group of 8 who visited this property in late July. We were met with a sign on the door to let ourselves in with the keys being in the room doors. The decor was quite dated, a la "The Addams Family." Towels were the roughest I have ever experienced, but good for exfoliation. The...

Stayed here when I came fishing in the spring and had a very comfortable and enjoyable visit! Breakfast was great every morning and set you up for the day. Clean rooms and hot water. What more do you need?! Will be returning!
