We stayed two nights at the Royal George and found the whole experience very pleasant. From the friendly welcome on arrival until our departure everything was very good. The room was clean with all the facilities that could be expected of a hotel of this standard. The double bed was king size and very comfortable. The food served in the...

From the time we arrived to when we left, the staff were extremely knowledgeable on the local area, helpful and polite. Hotel was clean and inviting. Food was top class with very generous portion sizes. We have already booked another stay with them.

We have stayed at this hotel on several occasions now and have always found it a very pleasant place to stay. The staff are incredibly friendly and helpful. The bar is a wonderful place to sit and relax (and have a drink, of course). We have always found the hotel to be an excellent base when attending Chepstow races.

A lovely old hotel in a very pretty location. The rooms ,in a separate building connected by a covered walkway, are clean and comfortable. We really enjoyed the garden setting peaceful and quiet, great nights sleep. Huge breakfast, freshly cooked and served in the small dining room. The hotel was not very busy as we visited out of season but...

We stayed here for our annual Winter long weekend and cannot find fault with anything. The rooms were spacious and we had a huge, very comfortable bed. Our room (32) was on the ground floor of a separate block to the hotel but just a short covered walkway from the bar/reception. On arrival, we were made to feel relaxed -...

We had a short break here. We received a warm welcome and were shown to our room. Although the rooms are chalet style they are warm and spacious with views across the garden. In the evening we ate In the small restaurant which was excellent value. We ordered in the lounge over a drink and then when the table and...

I loved the staff and how accommodating they were! The location is a 3 minutes walk to Tintern Abbey and to the Rose and Crown pub (great food and staff). When we ate breakfast, the staff were extremely helpful in finding out what we liked/disliked. The prices for drinks were a little too pricey, which is why we went to...
