We stayed at the Wye Valley Hotel for one night and we were made to feel very welcome. We hadn't booked so we're very happy to be given the "suite" room 2. Staff (Grace I think) and owners Barry and Sue were all great ... We had lunch an evening meal plus the breakfast and were not disappointed with the...

We booked this hotel in order to complete the last stage of our Offa's Dyke path walk and we were well pleased with our choice. As we had booked for 5 nights we were given the Family Room which was very spacious. Some may consider the general decor just a little dated but we found it a welcome change to...

The hotel is right in the middle of a serious road diversion & must be getting lots of lost motorists asking for help. So we loved the sign outside stating Free Directions With Every Drink. My wife and I were there for lunch but our smiles rather sagged at the underwhelming greeting from Sue, one of the owners. I think...

We didnt stay here but wish we had, a beautifully pretty, well cared for, 'family run' small hotel, not many of these left. So friendly, was really surprised firstly to find not one but two real ales, well kept and well pulled, secondly a lovely tasty fresh sauvignon (not chilean), looked at the menu and couldnt quite believe the prices,...

Just stayed here for 1 night (thankfully) if it had been more we would have walked out! We went on TripAdvisor reviews and this time it let us down big time. Remember it is not a cheap place to stay either so you expect a certain standard. This place is so dated it should be in Heartbeat a programme set...

Not the warmest of welcomes, but it got better as the weekend went on. Surprised by the row of terraced houses opposite. For some reason expected sight of the river. Food ok for 2 nights, standard pub fare. Restaurant a bit barn like. Really a function room with tables.Good English breakfast. No newspapers offered, but a friendly local got them...

We wanted a room for one night and turned up. The team were busy and it took a little while to get sorted out but friendly and nice room with a good bed. Where this place wins is the standard of coking. It is pub food right enough but done with care and attention and really really good chips.

What more could we have wanted? There wasn't a Jacuzzi or a Fitness center; didn't want that. Just wanted a good clean Hotel with a comprehensively stocked bar, good food and clean well kept rooms. We weren't disappointed. This is a medium sized gem at the right end of the village. The other end is the Abbey end where all...

Quick 2 night stay as a family of 3. Great accommodations. Nice family suite. Both beds were nice and the room was huge! Tv with cable was great. Bathroom was again, very large by European standards. VERY clean. Amenities were refreshed daily. Plenty of shampoo for the family. Food was beyond great. Are 2 dinners and both breakfasts here. Dinner...
