As has been said elsewhere you park across the road and have to go up a slope to the front door, but don't worry as it's worth it! Based on what you are asking for it delivers. The bed was very comfortable, firm but receptive, and with lovely cotton sheets etc. The cooked breakfast was one of the best I...

We were actually quite surprised when we arrived at Tintern Abbey B&B. I had read other reviews on Tripadvisor so I expected a quaint old inn with lots of charm. Our room was TINY....we could barely fit ourselves and our suitcases in the space. The complimentary robes and the towels were grey from lack of bleaching. The shower curtain had...

This old Rectory has been thoughtfuly decorated and furnished with respect to its Victorian past. Our room, beautifully furnished and decorated, had a wrought iron bedstead made up with cotton bed linen and pretty quilts. It was very comfortable and we both slept well. Good quality refreshments in the room plus a tea pot! (rare but essential) An ingenious coffee...

After a week in Torquay, England, we are off on our self-guided tour of Wales. Our first stop is Tintern Abbey on the Wye River. Arriving in the afternoon, we decide to spend the night, and find the Tintern Old Rectory B&B. It sits on a narrow ledge next to the narrow road, and without a sidewalk. Parking is across...

That's perhaps a bit hyperbolic, but not far wrong. We chose this B&B to be close to the Abbey and to the Wye Valley walking paths. The Old Rectory exceeded our expectations in most respects, but especially their breakfasts. We stayed for three nights over a weekend. As soon as we arrived, Anika brought a small bouquet of flowers from...

My husband David and I spent 3 nights here in mid September. Our room was beautifully decorated and very comfortable. We even had a private little spot out back to have a cup of tea or cocktail. The house itself is set high up so be ready to lug your cases but it is very nicely decorated, incorporating tapestries and...

Stayed for 2 nights in this B&B the room was small but quaint lovely comfortable bed and good view of the river. Hosts Ian and Annika were very friendly and the breakfasts were lovely with local jams and home made bread and plenty of choice. There was a bit of a smell but I think its the age of the...

We stayed here following our wedding day down the road in St Arvans, the breakfasts were amazing, the welcome was warm and the rooms were lovely. You also have to put up with great views of the River Wye and Tintern Abbey but I guess there has to be a downside.

We stayed at this B&B for one night and we had a lovely stay. The owners were very accommodating allowing us to leave our stuff early as we had a family event to attend. The whole house was full of character. Our room overlooked the river with a huge and extremely comfortable bed. We had an excellent nights sleep. The...
