We had a wonderful time at the Wooden Cabbage, the location in rural Dorset is absolutely beautiful with lots of great walks to do nearby. Breakfast was delicious and we couldn't have been made to feel any more welcome. All in all a wonderful break away from home.

Our hosts were charming and we were made to feel very welcome. The local knowledge that they passed on gave us a real insight into that beautiful part of Dorset. The house and garden are wonderful and we would thoroughly recommend it.

We had a wonderful stay at Wooden Cottage located in a most beautiful remote setting looking out over the Dorset hills. On arrival Matryn came out to give us a warm welcome and help take the bags to our room. Susie offered fresh milk to take to the room which was provided every evening. Breakfast was accompanied with a heady... More

If you wish to stay in a beautiful house, exquisitely furnished, with views over a gently descending valley, with a host and hostess who have your interests at heart, then look no further. Stay here. It is a beating heart of England.

We were delighted to be able to stay at the Wooden Cottage. Susie and Martyn were effortlessly charming hosts and made us most welcome. We loved the fresh roses in the bedroom (from their beautiful garden), the comfortable bed, delicious breakfast and the gorgeous view of rolling Dorset hills. The Lees have created something memorable and extremely special.

Wonderful hospitality, a perfect spot. Hosts were helpful, friendly and charming. Lovely to meet other guests at breakfast. Lots of advice about where to go, and hosts booked our evening meals for us. The most relaxing stay we've had in a while.
