We stayed at Moulin de l'Etang for 2 nights and we regret not being able to stay more. Madame Sabine has been an excelent host for us, always willing to help us get around. The rooms are very spacious and cozy while the breakfast is very traditional French with delis, honey, croissants, coffee and other great food, perfect way to... More

Our room was massive and beautifully furnished. The 14th Century staircase up to it needed careful negotiation but this added to the charm. The beds and pillows were very comfortable. an internal staircase led to a modern shower room and toilet. Our hostess was very welcoming and spoke impeccable English putting my French to shame. We had a lovely evening... More

How often do you get to stay in a 14th & 17th century Manor with all the modern comforts you desire? Upon check in we were greeted by the charming Gwendolyn and informed we were the only guests for the night so we would have the Manor to ourselves. She also helped with dinner reservations and wine tasting info the... More

We did a cycling tour through Burgundy and stayed each night in a different B&B. Moulin Madame is beautifully located near the cycling track and the rooms we had were nice and clean. I had the brown-orange room in the attic and it was good. The food was made by a a girl who also run the B&B for the... More

We stayed here overnight on a journey north to the channel tunnel. As such, the establishment is well suited because it is reasonably adjacent to the Autoroute as well as being ideal if you want to buy some Burgundy to bring home with you. It's also within striking distance of Beaune, a great place to explore, and on the outskirts... More

We stayed for a night on our way north from Cote d'Azur. The house is very impressive, old, wonderful garden, tasteful renovation. Friendly welcome. We had the Red Room, which was large, two windows, really good modern bathroom. The room is a bit dark - some more lights would be good. We had dinner at the hotel - served at... More

We like another reviewer received a "cool" welcome, but after we attempted several words in French, the hostess warmed and was excellent. Her husband spoke good English. Our room was dark but not dingy at all - it had a lot of character and was very clean. We had a lovely garden view. Loved the old bathroom setting off the... More

We would not stay at Moulin Madame again under any circumstances. These are the reasons. Our room was not cleaned or made up in our 2 days there. The bath area was not even slightly refurbished. On arrival, and again on the second day, we found ant [les fournis} infestation in our bathtub -- not a few, but many, and,... More

Immaculately clean, but very dark room, with a large bathroom, double sinks and loud macerating loo. Eat at La Cadole in the evening, at Givry. Take a pleasant breakfast at the long table served by friendly female staff. Private and ample parking. Older guests beware hauling luggage on steep stairs.

This absolutely charming 14th century house has been beautifully restored to provide comfortable and typically French rooms-and a charming hostess who also cooks an amazing "table d'hote" dinner. Near the motorway for our overnight stop en route home but we shall go back for a longer stay. The nearby town of Givry has an AC wine designation and is also... More
