Lovely cottage in peaceful surroundings. Cute as a bug fit out of this 2 storey accommodation. Whilst billed as a working deer farm, we noticed a distinct lack of said critters around the cottage. In fairness, I think that the main paddock adjacent was not being utilized the weekend of our stay - still the kids were looking forward to meeting some 4 legged locals. One thing to point out however, is that whilst both bedrooms are located upstairs, there is no toilet or bathroom facilities on that floor. Therefore, if you need to answer a call of nature thru the night, you have to negotiate the quite steep stairs. This may prove a problem for people with mobility issues. Overall though, a really lovely place to stay and we wished that we had more than the one night there. Very charming country retreat. It is a quality destination and we will be back when we can. The bacon and egg packs provided for breakfast are delicious - possibly the BEST bacon I have ever tasted, which I believe comes from a local butcher. Cereals, milk and tea/coffee also supplied. Would have rated 5 stars if not for the minor points mentioned.

Surprised my vegan Daughters with this most wonderful & serene stay! I mention vegan because they absolutely adore all animals & there was certainly an abundance of both the four & two legged variety. Georgia our host was wonderful from the moment of booking, to the very generous supplies of cereals, milk, eggs etc! We totally relaxed & the silence at night was deafening. Loved it all. To also look out the lounge room windows & see beautiful Deer just peering back at us was truly amazing.

Stayed for 2 nights, great view, great hospitality, great amenities (towels, kitchenette, washing machine & dryer, bacons, eggs, fresh milks etc). They prepared small boat for the lake. My family really enjoyed our stay. Definitely Will come here again and recommend to all. Superb 😘

If you are looking to down tools and just get away from it all, this is definitely the place. Add in some friendly cows, King Parrots who eat out of your hand and a herd of beautiful deer, this place has it all, comfort, peace and tranquility. Loved and appreciated the breakfast provisions and fresh eggs! We walked in to a warm toasty cottage with a log fire already on. We had a wonderful feast for breakky the next morning and were able to just reheat our dinner the first night which we bought from a local cafe in Druin. Gracefield is well situated in beautiful Gippsland to visit Toorongo Falls and the Trestle bridge at Noojee, great drives through amazing farmlets. One night was not enough, we are planning our return, thankyou so much, you have renovated the cottage beautifully. Dont get rid of the chesterfield, I could have stayed there all day! We went as a couple however it is well suited for families if you were thinking of visiting for the ski fields, it would be amazing in winter! Well done Gracefield, you are on our top list of return places.

Had a really rough week personally at home and at work. The moment we drove off the Princes Highway towards Neerim South, I started to feel relaxed with sights of the country. My girlfriend and I decided to have a girly weekend and just a break from our hectic lives. It was just over an hour drive from where we lived in Melbourne south east. Neerim South township had every basic need you needed. It's 50 minutes to Mt Baw Baw. And 5 minutes away was a beautiful cottage we called home for the night. We met the host Graham who showed us around the property. It was beautiful and quiet. The log fire was fired up and keeping the cottage warm. Wonderful welcome. We have farm fresh eggs, bacon and toast for breakfast. We met Isabel the red deer, the cows, and the chooks. In the morning we were greeted with beautiful birds and we fed them. We loved the weekend away. Everything was well thought of and it warms your heart to know that the hosts made an effort to make sure our stay was comfortable and enjoyable. We are bringing our husbands back next trip.

This little cottage is the perfect place to stay of you're heading away for the weekend (or longer) it is self sufficient has a lovely wood fire (which we took full advantage of after coming off the mountain from the snow). Very comfortable beds, lots of activity's to pass the night, with a small range of DVDs and old board games. We were greeted by the fire going and a HUGE amount of breakfast supplies. The owners are very easy to contact and make sure everything is perfect for your arrival. Would definitely recommend to anybody and everybody. They're about an hour from my baw baw, and have a nice (but $$) pub just up the road in the main town. Heaps of space, plenty of warmth, and beautiful wildlife surrounds the property. You're completely secluded, it's a little piece of paradise.

We loved our two night stay at Gracefield Cottage. We did a day trip to Mt Baw Baw and enjoyed walks and the animals on the deer farm. The cottage is perfect for a family, we made good use of the full kitchen and enjoyed the fireplace. June and her husband were very friendly and helpful. We would love to come back.

Amazing cosy cottage in the middle of a deer farm! The whole cottage is very clean and well maintained. Breakfast was provided on the first day but we were given so much that it was actually enough for a few days. The weather was cold when I was here and we had the fireplace to keep us warm. I was struggling to start a fire myself so June, the owner, offered to start the fire for us everyday before we come back so that the cottage is warm when we come back. Stellar and friendly service. You can't choose a more comfortable accommodation for your stay!
