We kind of stumbled upon this stunning hotel/loge. It was given a star in the Rough Guide to SA but having driven overland from Port Elizabeth ( not recommended) to Addo it literally popped up as a welcome resort. Our four poster bed in a rustic, traditional out - of Africa setting was beautiful, followed by a good evening meal....

We spent 2 nights here in Nov 2013 and loved it! The bedroom was great, had a nice outdoor shower. There are not so many options to eat nearby, but this is not a big deal since the hotel's food is delicious. The staff was super friendly and together with my husband prepared a big surprise - a birthday cake...

We spent 2 nights here on our first safari experience during our honeymoon in South Africa. We found the Elephant House very clean, welcoming and full of interesting things to look at! Breakfast is served in a beautiful location and was delicious! Staff were all friendly and offered extremely good service. Trips and safaris were booked for us easily. We...

The whole experience was great. Tranquil setting with a very warm and inviting atmosphere. The rooms were spacious and very comfortable. The dinner and breakfast was very good. The general guest areas were very homely and warm. Beautiful pool! Pity we were only there for one night.

We only had 1 night here in early September 2013 and thoroughly loved it. The décor and character to this place was just fabulous. We had originally been booked to stay in a stable cottage but they placed us in a room upstairs in the main building which was much more convenient. We had some lovely wine by the fire...

We stayed 2 nights & this was our trip's best surprise. We were in room 9 (family, private pool, nicely hidden away, on its own, v quiet). Always charming & smiling service (Charlene!). Really enjoyed Clive's valley tour. Forgot passports behind which they couriered right away to next hotel... Thx!

We stayed in a Stable Cottage which was spacious and had everything you need, including aircon, a fridge and tea/coffeee facilities, though it could not be described as luxurious. The main block is a throwback to the days of colonial comfort - lots of settees under the verandah and fountains playing in the courtyard. Wifi is only available in the...

A lovely guest house 10 minutes away from the Main Gate into the Addo Elephant Park. The original main house has a colonial feel to it, set in extensive gardens with lovely fever trees and looking onto the most magnificent swimming pool which is a godsend after a hot day in the Park. Lots of local artefacts and fascinating pictures...

We stayed here for three nights at the end of our wonderful holiday to SA, and what a great send off it was! I instantly fell in love with the warm and charming character at this country estate, literally minutes driving distance from Addo Elephant National Park. The staff were very friendly, welcoming and professional. We had dinner twice at...

What a place to stay before you take a wonderful Game Drive thru the Addo Elephant Reserve. We were staying in one of the Stable Cottages and it was just beautiful and very spacious. Couldn't improve upon it. We had our own terrace with comfy sofas to relax after your busy day and the breakfast was to die for with...
