Our weekend away here converted us from our normal coastal getaways. Every tiny little detail was thought of by Rob & Annette, from setting the kindling in the fireplace, pre heating the spa, the quality products to the cabin design and fit out. It was just a stunning place to be. I almost bailed on a wedding just to spend more time at the retreat. Def a must stay!!!
Not all cabins are created equal! We booked more than one cabin, for multiple families, our cabins are in different gated estates, waaaay to far apart for the kids to walk to each other which was a huge disappointment. The houses them selves are lovely, although ours was down low with average views, and NO laundry (but we did have a dishwasher) and our friends house was high, fantastic views, they had a laundry (but no dishwasher 🤣)… all of them super clean and fitted out well. We would stay here again and it is very peaceful, and the houses are really lovely (there is nothing nearby, no restaurant within half hour) so you need to bring everything with you. But we would insist on having houses closer together, at least within walking distance for our kids as that has been a really big disappointment for us considering it’s the school holidays and that we booked many months in advance.…
Fabulous from start to finish. Beautiful and clean accomodation with everything thought of in detail. So peaceful and relaxing. Loved our platter and choice of wine on arrival (available at extra cost) Great communication and information from Rob.
O M G what can I say, this is heaven. From the moment we booked to the time we left, the host, the accommodation, the view - everything was just perfect. The Spa was nice and warm, the fire and heater too. The view from the balcony and breakfast bar was superb. We were lucky enough to get an extra night in at short notice (unfortunately COVID obviously stuffed up someone else’s holiday). This was the perfect getaway. We couldn’t go to Tassie, so Tassie came to us with the lovely cold air.
Stunning! Beautiful location and beautiful accommodation. We stayed in the Silverwood Lodge and it was stunning. Very clean. It is even equipped with a sauna. The view of the national park is like no other. I browsed around looking at the different cabins and I definitely think Silverwood Lodge has one of the best views. Rob who is the on-site Manager was amazing too. Very friendly and accommodating. I also recommend booking your accommodation directly through Ravensbourne Escape than through a third party such as AirBnB as it will be cheaper for you. We stayed in a cooler month so got to enjoy putting on the fireplace. I only have positive things to say about this location and this venue.
We stayed tow nights with our two children. We took a full house but we probably could have stayed in just the top half and still been comfortable. The extra space was very welcome tho and everyone has enjoyed the clean spaces with wonderful views. It’s about 40mins from Toowoomba but we didn’t mind the drive, the venue is totally worth the trip.
Stayed at Ravensbourne Escape in the Tranquility chalet with my wife and loved it. For those that want to get away from the city for a bit and get back to nature Ravensbourne is perfect. The chalet was modern, well appointed and spacious with a nice queen bed, big en-suite, spa and wrap around deck and great views. The wood fire is great for those winter nights and Rob was always accommodating when called. Bring your own food as there’s not much around other than a few places in Hamilton or you’d need to venture further into Crows Nest or Toowoomba. Has the full kitchen and Webber bbq so easy to do a good breakfast or steak in the evening. Unfortunately the escape isn't catered But I can recommend the charcuterie board and wine as it was Big! Plus a nice Shiraz from Maclaren Vale always goes down nicely. For those that want to get out and explore, Ravensbourne national park is 5 minutes down the road with short or long walks. We did a combination or tracks down to Burra Creek and back and took about 2.5 hrs all up. All in all a great place to just escape and unwind and if you don’t leave the lodge and just want to curl up with a book, unwind in the spa and take in the views by a log fire, you’ll be happy. Highly recommend…
Another wonderfully relaxing retreat to Ravensbourne Escape staying at Rose Alyce for 6 girlfriends birthday weekend. A beautifully appointed and immaculately presented 3 bedroom 2 1/2 bathroom spacious home. Electric fire, reverse cycle air , lovely gardens & hot tub , everything we needed for a fun weekend. Thanks Rob & Annette , we even walked up and down the hill!
Silverwood Lodge is a 5 star 3 bedroom 2 bathroom, including a SAUNA, luxurious home, set amongst the forests, high on the ridge of Ravensbourne. The home boasts warming fireplace , in living area, for the winter chill and a great outdoor undercover deck with bbq . (Just bring the aerogard). The kitchen is fully equipped with oven and microwave if you choose to eat in , with full size refrigerator, plenty of crockery , cutlery and glassware, coffee maker, tea and milk. Dining area has a scenic outlook via the large windows, from the table. You can almost touch the beautiful king parrots outside in the trees. En-suite shower is enormous with large mirror and basin, and 3 stairs up to toilet , wardrobe/storage. Trundle beds are also available . All linen is of top quality. On-site is a restaurant which we found to be A1 with Ed the host being extremely hospitable. Take away pizzas from their pizza oven, are also available. Entrance to the property, which is one of approx 10 homes, is via a coded security gate and coded house key, which is forwarded to you a day or two prior to arrival. This is our second visit to Ravensbourne Escape and we will be returning for a thoroughly enjoyable retreat.…
