We just finished our third (or was it our fourth?) stay with Michael and Irene at Chateau Brinon. As always, we were treated like family. Great food, conversation and relaxation on the back veranda overlooking their nicely forested property. Irene is an excellent chef and we eat most of our dinners at the chateau. Breakfasts usually include fresh French pastries...

I stayed here with my with and daughter along with four other couples and their children. The space is brilliant, although not toddler/baby proof it is brilliant for them to explore. The bedrooms are generous in size and we made good use of the wood store for the open fire. The kitchen could do with updating as it was difficult...

We have stopped at Chateau Brinon en route to SW France from UK a number of times, it's a great location, reachable in about 8 hours from much of London & SE England via the tunnel. But even if you had to go out of your way to get here it would be worth it as a destination in its...

The chateau has been superbly renovated and tastefully decorated. We stayed in a beautiful room that had views of the large garden and was extremely comfortable. We were met on arrival by the owners who genuinely seemed happy to see us which was so nice. We were invited out on to the terrace, offered beer and wine and sat chatting...

Dear Irene and Michael We’ve had a very pleasant and memorable stay at your place on 18 June 2015. Thanks for sharing your life stories. We’ve had a wonderful time of chatting and sharing. Unlike other accommodations, yours is warm and homely and gives a very personal touch. We told our children about you both and they were very impressed....

We have stayed at Chateau Brinon twice now and we hope to visit many more times! The chateau itself is in a lovely, quiet spot. It has only three rooms so feels warm and homely but the rooms are large enough to stretch out and feel luxurious. Furnished in typical French style adding atmosphere to any trip. However by far...

My stay at Chateau Brinon was absolutely wonderful, and made my visit to France very unique. Being able to share conversation and meals with Michael and Irene added so much color to my visit. Michael and Irene were so accommodating and went out of their way to make my stay relaxing. They picked me up from the train station, and...

Our stay at the chateau was great. It is easy to spend a couple days relaxing at the chateau or just using is as a base camp while exploring other towns and sights in the area. Mike and Irene made the stay such a treat. We decided to have dinner at the chateau on our first night and Irene made...

We recently returned from a wonderful trip to France, which began with three magical nights at Chateau Brinon. Our room was lovely - large, comfortable and very quiet for sleeping. The lodge itself is wonderful, with beautiful grounds and woods for walking through. But it is really made special by Irene and Michael, who could not have been better hosts....

A friend and I were fortunate enough to stop here while traveling through Europe and it was without a doubt my favorite part of our trip. The property and grounds were amazing, it was like I was a BBC period piece and I kept expecting a carriage to pull up the driveway with Marie Antoinette inside. Irène is a splendid...
