The air con, fan and screened windows provide a little oasis away from the mosquitos and sun just off the San Juan de la Isla beach. Bathrooms are quite nice with a spacious sinkside counter and hot shower. WIFI is in common areas. A couple bridgades of ants found their way into our cabana, but the hotel staff were quite...

Rooms are nicer than other places we've been. Service was far better than other places and the food was definitely the best we got from the whole trip. Besides that, the location is clean, quiet and beautiful. Not only humans like the place; mosquito's also do.

This was our first visit to Nicaragua, and we absolutely fell in love with Isle Ometepe because of our stay at Finca San Juan de la Isla. We were in awe of the lake and the beach, which were just steps from our cabin. We had had an amazing experience on Ometepe thanks to Sofia, a wonderfully sweet concierge, who...

Gorgeous villa with incredible water front view! Track is difficult to navigate but well worth it (plus we were on bikes so difficult to comment!). It was quiet but it was down season. Cannot find any drawbacks....this island and this hotel are lovely.

What an amazing resort! This place is on about 150 acres of banana and plantain farms, and you drive through those (yes, the road is unpaved) into the resort. The resort harvests those farms and sells the fruit. The beach is beautiful - facing the east, you can watch the sun rise over Lago de Nicaragua. The restaurant is excellent...

My brother and I stayed in two adjacent cabins for two nights. The cabins offered a/c, screen doors, and hot water, making the stay generally acceptable. My cabin was fairly free of bugs, but was infested with small biting ants that kept him up most of the night. Also, my front door was not able to be locked, as the...

This hotel is located down a long (approx 1km) unpaved driveway. We had rented a scooter for two days and the driveway was the hardest part to maneuver! Aside from the driveway, the property was nice. There were many staff working during the day, building two new lake front cabins and a water fountain. When we arrived, we were brought...

A lovely lake side location where helpful and friendly staff can seemingly provide anything at a price. Contrary to other reports we found meals in the restaurant were fairly priced and the room we had absolutely fine for its countryside location. We didn't mind sharing our room with a few 'creepy crawlies' which we considered their home as well. (You...

Unless you choose to stay at a hostel, you don't have many hotel options on the island, so I booked this since it appeared to be somewhat decent. You will need a taxi/motorbike to get here. No one was at reception to check us in so we asked some Americans if they knew where to go, and one individual turned...

This was the worst experience of our trip, bar none. We are experienced, flexible travelers, and traveling through Nica you have a sense of which areas have a better developed tourist industry than others and you adjust expectations accordingly. Unfortunately this hotel and (most) of the staff were far below even our tempered expectations, and were not able to build...
