This was our second stay at Peel. This time we stayed in the Square room, huge four poster bed and a wood burner inside the biggest fireplace you've ever seen!, a mahoooosive granite bath and double sized shower in the luxurious bathroom!. Every last detail has been thought of, luxury chocolates, toiletries and wine chilling in the fridge alongside the...

Just back from a 1 night stay at Hellifield Peel Castle and wanted to pass on what an amazing place this is to visit. We stayed in the attic apartment and felt completely at home. Karen and Francis were wonderful hosts and we are so delighted that they have decided to share their home with the public! It is so...

We've stayed here 3 times so far and have two more stays booked over the next year. The Peel itself, the perfect peace and tranquility, the surroundings and the hospitality from Karen and Francis are all fantastic. For anyone who hasn't seen the Grand Designs show and get the chance to stay here, watch the provided DVD and you'll appreciate...

Finally fulfilled a long held wish to stay at this wonderful place, and delighted to say it didn't disappoint. Impossible to describe it a a B&B really, because you are actually just staying in someone's beautiful family home, but without any of the awkwardness that this can sometimes entail. This is purely down to Karen & Francis's wonderfully welcoming and...

This was the second time we had visited this castle and we were not dissapointed. We stayed in the room that Kevin McCloud had when he did the Grand Designs programme. It's not cheap but the whole thing was good value. With little touches like a bottle of wine and some chocolates and a roaring log fire, four poster bed....

It was our fourth time to visit Peel Castle and as ever it was as glorious as we remember, we had sunshine, wind and rain but nothing to spoil my birthday week away. Francis and Karen are truly lovely people and we look forward to seeing them each time we go and stay. The attic apartment is our haven whenever...
