We stayed one night DB&B. Staff are welcoming, friendly and efficient. Service in the restaurant likewise where a good selection of craft beers and a good wine list add to the delights of a varied menu. Presentation and service of food was excellent. Room2 with a river view is comfortable and well appointed. Lovely linen. Excellent breakfast with delicious coffee....

This is our 3rd stay, but my 1st review. We find the Sunday/Monday all inclusive deals to be great value for money. We arrived in Mistley in the morning, walked for 15km around the great Constable countryside to Dedham and back and checked in c3pm. The bar/restaurant area was fairly full, immediately a friendly voice said: can I help ?" In...

We stay at the Mistley Thorn Hotel for two night while we attended a cooking course at the Mistley kitchen. Both the hotel and the course were terrific. The room was quirky as you sometimes expect at hotel in an older building. It was very clean and modern and tastefully furnished and decorated.. The breakfast was excellent good variety and...

We waited for our dessert menu.....members of staff went home........ Still, never mind, one unlucky day I guess. Well here we are again this month. The wine we ordered was different to...

We had a lovely breakfast at the Mistley Thorn on Sunday morning. We appreciated having locally sourced, freshly cooked food with good quality tea and sauces. The staff were friendly and professional. The bar area and restaurant were clean, modern and inviting. We can recommend the eggs benedict! The hotel and restaurant are dog-friendly with some advanced warning and I...

We had the privilege of staying a week at the Mistley Thorn. The accommodations were well done, with good attention paid to some of the finer points, like bedding, coffee, tea and toiletries. The shower was very powerful! We stayed in the Little Thorn Cottage, which was perfect for an extended stay, and chose the dinner package. The meals in...

One of our favorite stops for a lovely diner before we take the Ferry Harwich to Hoek of Holland. Because the Ferry leaves late, there is plenty of Time to enjoy an superb Meal. The Staff is very friendly and remembers you when you revisit.

We had a fabulous meal here. The food was fantastic and the service couldn't be better. The staff were very attentive and nothing was too much trouble. They were not over attentive. We look forward to going back.
