We have stayed in this resort a number of times and this is probably the most centre apartment, a short walk to two lifts.
The apartment itself was excellent and having stayed in French apartment before we booked a 6 bed for 3 of us which gave us plenty of space meaning there was a double bedroom with an en-suite and a twin bedded room. There was a settee in the living area that pulls out as a double bed.
Our only comment would be that despite coming and going at various times the reception was only once manned. We were never asked to register or to pay our security deposit.

I stayed at L'Adret 3-10th Feb 2013 and was amazed at how beautiful and clean our apartment and building was. When we arrived the receptionist was there to check us in and gave us our 'welcome book'. The apartment was very lovely and the cleanest place I have ever stayed in. The bed was extremely comfy (me and my partner were both sad to leave it) and the pillows were fab too. It was modern too - almost felt like we were the first to stay there. had everything needed in the kitchen (apart from an oven). The sauna was a very nice touch but didn't brave the pool as it felt cold. It's only a few minutes walk from the piste and main Chantemerle which was great. Would recommend they get wifi for the rooms too as having to sit in reception was a bit annoying, but wasn't a major issue. The only real lacking feature was that we had a small wardrobe in the living area but would have been better if we had more storage area (as i like things out the way) but all in all a great place to stay!!

This was our first self catering experience on a ski holiday and we were pleasantly surprised.

Our room was split in two with the bedroom / bathroom area at one side with an adjoining sliding door, which took you into the kitchen / sitting area. The only complaint I had was that there was only one bucket seat in that area, whereas it would have been nice to have a small sofa instead. This meant that we spent most of the time sitting on the bed.

There were plenty of crockery & utensils, a good size fridge, dish washer, microwave & hob and they also supplied you with required cleaning products and dishwasher tabs.

The bathroom was great with plenty space to store all your stuff and the all important, good shower pressure.

Ski & boot storage is in the underground garage and it took just under 10 mins to walk to the ski lifts. I wasn't sure about that at first, as normally I'd be lazy and leave my skis/boots in a locker at the slopes, but it worked out fine and gave you a bit of a warm up to start the day. Just watch going downhill in your ski boots if it's icy!

There is a sauna and a small pool on site. The sauna, although small was good, however, as other reviews state, the pool is baltic! Def one for their summer guests and only the brave in winter!

A great apartment to explore the really good Serre Chevalier ski area.

It was very cold to live in the room at the base floor, probably it could be better on the upper floors. The shower was broken and after repair got just a bit better but not completely fixed. At the first day of staying I was forced to make cleaning

Now known as the Residence L'Adret these apartments are of a high standard. Nicely furnished and spacious with plenty of storage. The downsides are the lack of wifi - this is only available in the reception area - there is a lounge but this closes at the same time as reception so is not accessible in the evenings.
There is a pool, but it was too cold to use (even the children found it cold).
We had a 3 bedroom apartment which can sleep up to 8 people - this is fine if you are planning on eating out, but if you want to self cater there's only hotplates and a small microwave - no oven.
The apartments are well located - only a short walk across to the slopes.
There is plenty of underground parking which was useful as it was very cold and it meant we did not have to de-ice the car at all.
A good holidays which could be excellent if the pool was heated a little more and wifi was extended everywhere.

It has changed since I last came here in 2010. It has moved from a hotel/apartment complex to a pure apartment complex which means it has lost the kind of services you would expect. Reception closes at 7 which means there is no support for out of hours issues. There are now fines for not cleaning sufficiently well, whatever that may be. No oven, which isn't a major issue but not ideal. Wifi is only available in the reception. No effective tin opener (what they did have was mad, bring your own). No freezer in the fridge. The safe didn't work and we couldn't get it fixed. The hot water is limited to 200 litres so avoid baths.
However, great location, about 300 metres from the main centre of Chantemerle. Good rooms with lots of space and cupboards. Oddly the residence is looking tired from the outside but still very new inside and clean. It is spacious and modern, although lacking in comfortable chairs for an apartment that sleeps 6. Underground car park free with your booking. A very warm apartment. Dishwasher with some tablets provided.
Lets clear up the pool situation. It is cold but still usable. There is a sauna (found in the left changing room) but it is small only holding two people, however get there early enough and it is all yours and very good.
The staff were very friendly and some spoke good English though not all, which is odd for a 4 star residence.
All in all I would definitely recommend this apartment as abase to explore the whole Serre Chevalier area, it's not brilliant but I have been in a lot worse.
Please see my review of Serre Chevalier for tips on the resort.

The appartement is located only a 7minute walk from the main center of chantemerle, great location, the best. The flats are beautifully decorated, clean, new, nothing missing. really beautiful appartments and very clean and in excellent condition. the staff very friendly. The negative thing is that the sauna and the pool are cold, every day they are cold and therefore and not useable, so it is certainly not a spa hotel. Wifi only in teh reception area and not in the rooms. To be recommended. Don't forget to reserve a ski locker directly on the bottom of the lift so you don't have to carry your skis every day. Definitely to be recommended but sorry about the spa

We've been there for a week and we appreciated the apartment for it's being so clean and well equipped. The hotel very well located and everyone is sooooooooo nice and efficient.
We met someone special there, the best ski teacher ever, AKA MANU...
Hope to see you next year! (Don't you miss that appointment!!!)

We arrived to the hotel a late Saturday evening, and the staff helped us to check in directly. The guy was really helpful and also checked with us if we wanted to have breakfast in the morning. We got the room key card, and took the elevator to the 3rd floor. The room was bigger than we had expected, with two rooms and a kitchen area.
The “living room” and kitchen area was attached to each other. The room had a small dinner table, sofa for 3 persons, and a 20 inch TV. Most of the channels were French speaking, though they had BBC and CNN as well. Kitchen area was great with a hob, microwave, toaster, coffee maker and dishwasher. They had all pots and pans you’ll need.
The balcony was facing the mountain and road. A nice place to sit and eat lunch when the sun was shining.
Bedroom had a big queen size bed and about 3-4 meters to the ceiling. Bed was not that comfortable though. After a long day in the slopes you want a soft bed to sleep in so your muscles will be okay the day after. I woke up every day with a sore body, and my neck was stiff after the pillows.
Bathroom had a bathtub with shower and a towel warmer.
It was said that you had to tell the staff if you wanted your room to be cleaned every day, though it was anyway. At least the bed was done and dishes as well.

Pool area was nice! I mean, I don’t know what people expect when they go on a ski/snowboard trip. For me it was just an extra nice thing to have in the hotel. It was warm inside, but if you swim outside your head will be cold. It was fresh and cozy in the nights with all the lights going on in the pool.

It was about 5 minutes walk to get to the lifts and “center” of Chantemerle. Totally okay for me and my boyfriend who both snowboard. For people with ski boots it’s probably a bit trickier to walk to the slopes. Though you can rent a locker in the centre house where you can have your stuff. If you don't want to go out and eat every day there are two supermarkets in the village.

I would definitely stay at this hotel again, and Chantemerle is the right village to stay.

My wife and I stayed there with 2 kids for a weekend. It was a 2-floor small apartments (1 bedroom). It was more space than we really needed, with a place to store the skis in the basement. There is a kitchen for cooking too, so I recommend that place for a week-stay. But don't forget soap as this is not provided... Nice location (5 min walk to the lifts).
