This is a friendly, moorland farmhouse, warm, well-equipped and comfortable beside the most important neolithic sites in the East Midlands, Arbor Low - like a mini Avebury - and Gib Hill Barrow nearby. Nicola and Stephen, both great runners and cyclists made us very welcome...More

A short slight up hill walk through fields ( sometimes with cows in) to the stone circle. The views are breathtaking and worth the walk alone. Quite an atmospheric place steeped in history. The farmhouse does B&B.... wish it did afternoon tea !

Nice location, close to bigger villages. Good starting point for walks, arbor low itself is very close, nice to see such a piece of history. Accommodation is good, nice people that are there to tell you were to go.
