We stayed at Villa Oliveto, with two other couples and had an outstanding holiday, the outlook high up on the hill is very special with views to the coast and beyond. The Villa is located in a gated community and a car is necessary, it is perfectly situated for day trips to the surrounding areas, including Lucca, Viareggio and Cinque Terre. The walk from the Villa further up the hill to the village of Perdona is also well worth the effort.Resturant, supermarket, bar etc are all located at the bottom of the hill and we loved that we were able to experience a small piece of the village life. Our thanks to Marino and Silva for letting us enjoy their beautiful house, they were always available to assist when asked and we hope to visit again

I spent a week here with my husband and some friends. We had an absolutely wonderful time! the owner was so helpful and kind. It was like being with family. It was a real home from home. The countryside is perfect for relaxing, cycling and obviously gourmet food. We really love this part of Tuscany and we will certainly be back again. Grazie and see you soon!

We've stayed at the villa oliveto, red villa, for two weeks, we were two families with one baby each. The view there is absolutely beautiful and surrounding typical Toscane, however we have not been impressed neither by the hospitality of the owners, nor with the general state of the villa. We've been welcomed on our arrival day, but no further visits from the owner during the whole stay, even on the departure day, not even a good bye... The house could be nice to spend vacation in, however, it was not cleaned, lots of worms, spiders and so on were hosting the house already. Toilet paper, kitchen napkins, sugar and other basics were not provided. The kitchnette is quite nice, but almost no hot water was coming and again the level of cleanliness was doubtful.. No weekly cleaning is done, sheets and towels (clean ones) are being provided in a plastic bag...The swimming pool is nice but also not cleaned... We were quite disapointed, and truly think that maybe a courtesy visit or a final check from the owners could have higher up our satisfaction level.

My husband and i stayed at the Villa Oliveto for 5 nights during a two week trip to Tuscany and we couldn't have been happier. Marino, the owner, was friendly, knowledgeable about food, wine and events in the area, served us breakfast personally every morning, and provided stimulating conversation whenever we were at the Villa. It's located on a hilltop near the coast and though it's a steep climb, it's well worth the effort. We enjoyed leisurely mornings by the pool and enjoyed the 5 minute drive to the local restaurant (recommended by Marino) almost every evening. It was right down the hill and ridiculously good - great food and a phenomenal wine cellar that you had to ask about - they had no wine list. Nearby are also great umbrella covered beaches and restaurants in the Italian holiday town of Viareggio. We felt like we'd found a little slice of heaven in this b&b and its location. It's very simple and the best part was that it was small and populated primarily with other European tourists - as was this part of the country in August. We appreciated being able to experience what felt like a slice of the local life.
