Very nice, romantic, clean place - food and service is excellent. Maybe they should reconsider to offer real coffee, and not Nescafe, which is no standard for this kind of extra-ordinary places. And also maybe cover the toilet and shower place in the tents, as we came late, there was a storm, and everything was sandy. Attention also - only...

This camp is a welcome oasis in the desert. It literally is in the middle of nowhere but the facilities are great and the accommodation is surprisingly good for a "camp" in the desert. We were 2 adults and 4 kids aged 13, 11, 8 and 2 and the sand house was perfect and accommodated us comfortably. Among the facilities...

The camp is relatively easy to find once you have the map from the Hotel Website. Ok, a sign more at the begining of the desert road to assure you that you are on the right track would not hurt. Even the last bit (following the three signs) up the dune is easy. We made it even without flattening our...

How disappointing was this - after 40 km of great driving through the sands - we were shown to a tent that was barely acceptable with a toilet/shower area full of flies (I mean a real swarm) and dirty. We complained and were moved to a tent where the facilities were cleaner - just!! We were in the desert, so...

We stayed at 1000 Nights Camp for just one night as part of a self drive week in Oman. Great experience. The drive to it (it is 40km beyond the end of the tarmac) was spectacular with huge dunes on both sides. Other people have said that a guide is not necessary but I disagree, the signs are few and...

If you are in Oman, visiting the desert is an absolute must, as you get to see a beautiful sunset amid the dunes and the night sky is terrific. We had one night in the 1000 Nights Camp. The camp is clean and the rooms (tents) are generous. The food was splendid and the camp offers arabic food as well...

We spent a night here with our teenage kids. We had the sand house which was excellent. There is a range of accommodation so I would suggest you choose the most you can afford because it's hot and conditions are not easy ...so having a nice bed is a bonus. The good was great .. tasty and we'll cooked. You...

A night in the desert would be a highlight of our Oman trip, we were promised - and indeed it was! As we only stayed for one night we left most of our luggage on the coach. The actual 40 km drive in battered 4wheel drive Nissans was an experience in itself, our driver was young lad who seemed to...

We were here as part of a group and could have spent longer here to get the full experience. Its a bit touristy, but what do you expect? There are 'tents' of different styles (the Sierra we stayed in was pretty rigid and had a (cold water) outdoor en suite), of a decent size to spread your wings. There's no...

We stayed at 1000 Nights Camp several years ago and had a wonderful experience, so much so that we came back with our 10month old son.
