Loved the careful & considerate renovation of the Chateau which beautifully combined modern and old seamlessly. Loved the tunnel through the rock down to the poolside from the lobby and the mini gym in the wine cellar. Like the rest of the hotel, our room was perfectly designed and came with a four poster bed and a view over the...

Great place to stay to explore the Loire Valley if you have a car. Close to Ambois, Chenonceau. The room we had was beautifully appointed and serviced very well daily. Simple but delicious continental breakfast to wake up to each morning. Do try the pool if it is open! We will be back!

We arrived after a long drive from Calais en route to the Dordogne and felt immediately that the heat and hassle of our day had been lifted. We stayed in Margaux&Jules which had twin beds for our children along with a double (in a turret) and family bathroom. Our first move was to head down the tunnel to the swimming...

This may be one of your best hotel stays ever! The experience captures the essence of living in a real castle in Medieval times, with modern conveniences of course. Our family shared 2 adjoining rooms that were magnificent. Our host, Oliver, made the experience excellent with his professionalism and charm. This place even has a horse, Monarque, that live in...

Perfect place to stay while exploring beautiful Loire Valley!! Chateau des Arpentis is absolutely beautiful - from the tranquil, out of the way, location; to the majestic, yet simple, decor; to the wonderfully appointed rooms; to the genuine, friendly service!! From the moment we arrived (after driving around the area for 20 minutes or so looking for the very discreet...

What better way to explore the Loire Valley than to stay at a real chateau! The hidden drive into the property adds to the fun of finding this hidden gem which was built over 300 years ago, has been largely modernized internally, but still have the uniqueness of an old building (the floors slant, the huge fire place in the...

My wife and I just spent 2 nights at the Chateau with a small group of our friends. Everything was perfect. The Chateau is beautiful; Olivier is a gracious host and all I can say is that we wished we had booked more time in the Loire Valley.

Lovely rooms and good location, but overpriced. The wi-fi was spotty, highway signage to the hotel mediocre and at $215 a night I would have expected someone to offer a modicum of help with the luggage. The breakfast was only average for France. We spent one third of this price on B & Bs in France and got wonderful service,...

We had an exceptional stay at this old, but very nicely refurbished castle in the countryside just outside of Amboise. Our room was huge - we could have fit the three other places we stayed during our trip to France into our room. The appointments to the room and bathroom were wonderful. We were on the top floor facing the...
