Rooms and rest of hotel very nice and clean. So good food. Staff very kind
Position top!!
Near the slopes, and even though no skiing was permitted, we had the most wonderfull walk in the sun.
Worth a visit..we will be back for sure

To be honest we are frequently disappointed by Italian hotels. But not this one.

Everything is just right; from the beautiful ambiance, friendly staff, the 'nothing is too much trouble' attitude, downright scruptious food, convenient wooden heated ski store, short distance to the lift etc. etc.

We absolutely loved it here and will definitely return!!

We stayed at the hotel for one night. We had our dog with us and were given a large room on the ground/first floor. The decor was good and the room lovely and light and clean. The staff were fantastic, catering for all our needs. The hotel arranged a dog sitter for us, so we both could go skiing together. The hotel is within walking distance of the ski lift as well as the town centre, whilst being quiet for a good night's sleep. I would thoroughly recommend the hotel and I am sure we will be staying there again ourselves.

This hotel certainly knows how to look after it's guests. This was our second visit and have to say we did muck them about with our booking due to the weather. However, it never came across as a problem and even when we added insult to injury and shortened our stay they never made a fuss with no question of paying for the lost night. Our room was beatifully warm and the food on half-board is fabulous. We know we will be back.

We booked into the Piramidi some months in advance having seen the tripadvisor reviews. We are a family with two teenage girls and it was a skiing trip.

We were shown to our excellent rooms which were by far the best of any hotel we've stayed in whilst skiing (in line with some of the very best chalets we have used). large beds, jacuzzi showers, lovely views etc.

We booked half board, and the 4 course dinner was really great. We are great lovers of real Italian food and we were not dissapointed; lots of home made pasta and desserts etc. The wine list was great and reasonably priced.

I would rate this hotel very highly for the rooms, the food, the gym , and most importantly the staff. There was a very professional, yet family feel to the place. Several of the staff shook our hands when we were leaving which was a lovely touch.

They recommended a small ski-hire place just a few minutes walk from the hotel which again provided excellent service. The ski lifts were a 5 minute walk and there were NO queues... ever.... not once! So a brilliant place to ski if you prefer skiing to standing in queues.

The one tiny area where they could improve was the 'heated' boot/ski store room. This had a woodburning stove and a heated bootrack, however the stove was only lit the first day we dropped out stuff, and I don't think the boot warmer was ever switched on. We ended up leaving our stuff at the ski rental place, which we wished we had done all along as it saved a couple of minutes walk in the ski clobber. It was a very small issue, which if resolved would have made the stay absolutely faultless!

We had a really good few days at Piramidi. It's well located, fairly near the ski lift and all the staff were friendly and accommodating (taking ski boots down to storage, helping excavate car from snow, etc.). Rooms are not super-luxurious, but definitely adequate and sizeable. In Italian tradition there are too many 'dust collectors' scattered all over the hotel. Dinners were good, breakfasts simple, but tasty. The lobby/lounge is welcoming and warm. And the hut where ski gear can be stored is great. We did miss having a spa, jacuzzi or even sauna for after skiing.
The town is quaint, with decent food. They're not very into apre ski in Abetone, but the little bar/cafe at the bottom serves after ski treats: beers, Bombadinos, etc. and gets full and buzz'y in season!
The ski slopes also good, well maintained with adequate facilities, etc. though on a smaller scale than the mega resorts. We also had great ski conditions while there, which helps a lot!
Be warned, the road in from the Modena side is longer than it looks, very wind'y and can be tricky in poor weather.
Overall, a very good stay, very good hotel and a beautiful little ski village.

My brother and I had a wonderful one night stay here and we would happily go again and stay for longer in this beautiful area. We booked an extra room on the day we were arriving, and thankfully there was a room free. The staff were really lovely and welcoming- all were professional and friendly and helpful.
The rooms were lovely and comfortable- very clean and we had a wonderful peaceful sleep. The breakfast was excellent- maybe some eggs would have been nice but otherwise there was plenty of choice. The young man serving breakfast was just great- very smiley and friendly- we appreciated that- everyone made us feel welcome. This is a great hotel.

Old building well modernised into a decent hotel. Roomy bathroom with decent hot shower. Good comfy beds. WiFi didn't work in my room, but was fine downstairs. Didn't use the restaurant, but breakfast was ok - lots of italian cake. Staff very friendly. Hotel was almost deserted - last weekend of the ski season.

Front desk was super rude! cold and lifeless place! first off they changed the room we booked, as the shower was broken, giving us a room with a "view"..of the carpark!. You cant even turn the heat on , they control it from the front desk and turn it off early morning! one day we had no hot water or heat! Appalling! When I rang front desk to complain, the lady said, " what do you expect for 100 euros a night..its not a SPA!! " ..horrible service.I have worked in hotels 2o years and never seen this! Internet never worked! not even in lobby! There were not many guests so one day I went down to "breakfast" at 9 am and was told there was no breakfast today because they are not enough guests in hotel to make the effort! unbelievable..as its included in the price. Lame! Only good thing was cleaning staff, door men and waiters were lovely..even if I only had a coffee, due to restaurant being closed the whole time! Stay somewhere else! pay a bit more and go up the road!
