THE GROUP: We were a party of 12 arriving separately, from young grandchildren up to and including including a couple of old crocks, to attend a surprise 40th anniversary party, FIRST IMPRESSIONS: After a rather twisting uphill route (including a hairpin bend) the road from Tipperary town starts to descend and the hotel signpost is immediately on the right. My girlfriend and I purchased a Groupon for this place. €99 for 2 nights B&B and Afternoon Tea. I was very pleasantly surprised. Great hotel views, busy enough hotel and music Sunday night. We were not expecting much for the deal we got. Afternoon tea was great too. Only con was that the staff sometimes were difficult to get a...

This was our first night out of Dublin and we were having major car problems with Hertz.it is a nice place, about 30 minutes from Tipperary. The rooms were spacious and clean. First time the kids saw a wall mounted toilet tank. Lovely walks in the evening. But most heartfelt thanks go to the front desk staff, most importantly Grainne,...

We visited this hotel on a voucher deal for two nights. Having read some of the more negative reviews our expectations were not too high. However we found the staff welcoming friendly and helpful. There was advice as to where to get phone reception which is limited in the area and on the local walks and hikes. Maps were provided....
