We just spent 2 nights at this wonderful little gem. The location is very quiet and peaceful with the sound of sheep and cattle in the background behind the imaculate garden and camp site - check out the hanging baskets. The room (no 5) was spacious and superbly furnished with a very comfy bed. The bathroom was also a good...

We stayed four nights at the Baron and were not disappointed, it is a well run and friendly country inn with great hosts. They have put so much into making it a pleasure to stay or just eat and drink. The food especially the breakfasts were delicious with so much choice. The rooms were spotless with everything and more for...

We recently spent 4 nights in this extremely comfortable country inn situated in a quiet area of Shropshire. The hard working owners make one most welcome. The accommodation is top class and the menus for both evening and breakfast are varied - and filling! We will hopefully return.

You will probably have been given a recommendation for the restaurant here as it's not something obvious to passers by in this beautiful part of southwest Shropshire. But seek it out, as many do You might also be wise to reserve a table, especially at weekends. Bar and dining room are comfortable, with interesting rustic ambience. The menu is interesting...

We had three nights at the Baron recently, an excellent family run hotel in a quiet village. Our rooms were immaculate, very comfortable beds and plenty of room. Our breakfasts were enjoyed in a large conservatory overlooking the hotel gardens and lovely views of Bucknell hill. The owners were extremely friendly and welcoming, helping us plan our days out. Recommended!

Chanced upon this country pub whilst on a days wandering in South Shropshire - Ludlow was full and we couldn't find a parking space. The weather was nice so we took lunch in the beer garden at the rear of the property. Beautiful view of the hill overlooking. What can I say - wonderful food (especially the home made profiteroles),...

We spent 3 nights at the Baron at Bucknell and ate in their restaurant each night. The bedroom (Number 4) was delightful with the most comfortable bed, stylish furnishings and a very nice en-suite. There was decent sized flat-screen TV and a docking station for an iPod etc on the alarm clock/radio so you could play your own music. Wi-fi...

Small but comfortable room with great shower. Exceptionally clean. Nice little extras such as water, biscuits and chocolate. As per usual in most sorts of accommodation the walls are too thin so one can hear everything going on next door. A very good breakfast, scrummy bacon. It was a shame we didn't stay for supper. All in all a very...

We stayed for three nights in room five, spotlessly clean, excellent views from the Juliet balcony, five star pub facilities. The breakfast is really good with lots of choices, as is the evening meals, highly recommend the belly pork. Phil and Debra own and operate the establishment with a very friendly unassuming total commintment, to provide the very best experience...

Four of us recently enjoyed a three day stay at the Baron. The accomodation and food are first class. We were made to feel very welcome by Phil, Debbie and their staff. We also enjoyed our chats with the local people who use the bar. Recommend a walk round the village, especially on Wednesday mornings when they serve tea and...
