Visited on Easter Sunday with my wife. Made very welcome by the licensee as soon as we entered. Had a great lunch and drinks. Will definitely go back. The food was excellent, freshly cooked and delicious. Staff very friendly. A great atmosphere which we really enjoyed. Highly recommended

Whilst on a canal holiday we visited this Inn for a meal one evening. We had a superb meal which was good value for money. We were served by a very charming and delightful young lady whose name was Ruby. There was a lovely warm atmosphere in this Inn. All four of us enjoyed the visit immensely and would not...

Long wait for breakfast (55mins) which did not start until 9 O' clock. (Sat - Mon) Unfortunate as we wanted to get away early as we had a long journey ahead of us. However, breakfast was good when it eventually arrived. Hotel excellent value for money if a little worn ( see photos)

I booked a weekend in March for £30/night INCLUDING Breakfast. For that I had a room on the front of the property, the sash window didn't keep much traffic noise out, comfortable double bed, TV, Tea and coffee, wash basin that's it. Toilets and shower cubicles along a corridor . Separate front door from pub, breakfast room on the ground floor...

Cannot fault the staff, very friendly and attentive but the place itself needs a dam good clean. Dirt and grime on photos and radiators. The carpets, tables and chairs not in good condition at all. We had a sunday roast it was ok, none of the veg was tasty the roast potatoes are like aunt bessie certainly not proper potatoes....

We visited the Red Lion on a recommendation from a friend whils passing through. The car park is small but I am unsure what the road parking is like? First impressions - Clean and tidy, quaint with plenty of character. It was very busy but we were told a table would be available in a minute or two. True to...

This was a brilliant place to stay and would've earned five stars but for a few points regarding our room. Let me firstly say how friendly and helpful the staff are and how welcome we felt there. The food available in the restaurant was cooked perfectly and there is a good choice plus a range of specials. We ate in...

Close to town, lovely friendly busy pub restaurant. Room was plenty big enough for one night, it was clean and the bed was comfortable. The breakfast was really nice too, crispy bacon is hard to come by.
