My wife and I popped in for lunch after walking around the Mere. Two courses for £6.99 was a bargain. Good choice on the menu and service excellent. We will go again. I would recommend. The menus for dinners looked very tasty so we will have to try soon.

Having had a lovely meal here earlier in the year we were expecting much better than was served up. We both ordered the Plaice and chips. I have never seen such small portion of Plaice and even though there were two per plate the breadcrumb coating was so overdone any of the fish between the coating was reduced to about...

this is a 15th century coach house so obviously some of the walls and floors are subsided and lopsided.... all makes for that lovely quirky stay.... we stayed b&b for two nights and i can honestly say my hubby and me and our old dog felt so welcome and at home... the food was reasonably priced and good value... and...

We were on a canal boat holiday and rather than have lunch at one of the waterside pubs, we stopped in a shop and asked the locals where the best place for a pub linch would be. Hands down, they agreed the Red Lion Coaching Inn was the place. They were right. Prices were great, service exceptional, and the food...

I have always spoken highly of this Inn and recommended to friends, however, the old team are nowhere to be seen I think it is under new management. Arrived between 17:30 and 18:00 and the restaurant wasn't busy. There seemed a few young girls of student age running things didn't seem very experienced but ok. Food wasn't bad, smaller portions...

Dropped in for lunch at the Red Lion, hadn't been there for sometime but the food was as good as ever. We both had the Mixed Grill @ £11.55. The only thing that let the meal value down, was the chips, they weren't very warm, otherwise the rest of the meal was excellent. The service was very slow (one hour...

Called here for lunch today with family. Have been quite a few times in the past but today the food was very much different. Rare steak came out well done, blue cheese sauce was inedible. Pepper sauce had run out and chips were very tasteless. Won't be returning. Very disappointed.

Used to regularly come & done here but since the management have changed the food quality has dramatically diminished. Most of the food is frozen or very bad quality. I will not be visiting again. Such a shame
