We stayed in the quadruple room in level 2 and there is no lift in the hotel. Staff offered to carry the luggage up during check in but we carried them down ourselves when check out. Room and bathroom looked very tired and definitely deserve a renovation ASAP. Beds were 2 queen sized type and very hard beds! They are...

For such price range, would expect something more up market. But the condition is old n room feel very damp and wet. We were there when the temperature was sub zero. The heater was only available fr 7pm to 5am and not warm enough. There is no lift and water dispenser is shared (can't remember if there's kettle) The receptionist...

We stayed 2 nights in a standard double room. We were on level 4 with no lift so good exercise with the luggage. The hotel is close to the bus stop and the main part of the village. The room is small - no space at all on either side of the bed - need to keep your luggage closed...

We are a family of 4 (with 2 teenagers) and traveled to Alishan in Dec 2016 and stayed in the hotel for 2 days. The location of this hotel is good as its located right inside the Alishan Recreation Park Area. We can just walk to all the shops, train station and trekking routes easily. We were warned about the...

The hotel itself is really quite old and out dated. The wall papers are peeling off and its has no elevator. It was acceptible for an overnight stay I guess. Beds are hard but I was able to sleep nonetheless. They have good wifi connection so that is a big plus on my part already.

We booked just two days before so the price was high (108 euros). Definitely, the best thing of this accommodation is the location. Close to everywhere by walking. We could even see the sunrise walking (5km). The breakfast was not that good... only asian food and not really good. A bit noisy as well... as the walls are thin. The...

You get what you pay for, the room is quite small and for 5 of us backpackers it's really a tight squeeze. There's no bed but only mattress to sleep on. Heater is available luckily so we won't freeze to death in the low temps. The hallway and stairs are narrow like British homes so huge luggages are a bit...

Only given 3 stars because the room is too small and congested. Nothing special to comment about the place. However, its location is very ideal for people seeking to stay overnight on the mountain area. Location is great. Great cold temperatures I love. Recommended for backpackers who need a place to crash.

Accommodation within the Alishan park itself is quite limited and the Shermuh was the cheapest we could find at short notice by a significant amount (though not particularly cheap by comparison with places outside the park). As such, and having read the reviews we did not have high expectations. There is no lift so you have to walk up stairs...

The bed was as I imagine soft concrete to feel like, the decor was old and grubby, the tap loose and the general ambience was, I surmise, one of a cold war Soviet hostel, cheerless and physically cold with some form of heating coming on around 7.pm. Breakfast was served buffet style in another building together with another hundred Alishan...
