We stayed for two nights at Tien Lai. There is not a lot of choice for hotel in Yangmingshan. From our experience, Tien Lai is comfortable hotel with nice hot springs. Although the location is not very convenient, since we hire a car this is not a very big problem for us. The first night we stayed in room in...

The room style was not consistent with the website while booking. There are stool water on the toilet from the last guests. There are a lot of cookie crumbles on the baby bed from the last guests as well. There are many dead fishes in the outdoor hot spring pool which supposed to eat your dead skin. Many leaves in...

The hotel is a bit old but clean. I was expecting more. The operator misunderstood my question. There is no outdoor nude hot spring pool but only indoor. It is a long way drive from city. The indoor hot spring is only NTD400 per person. The hotel receptionists were really nice and polite.

This is a great resort to experience Taiwan as a family away from the busy life of Taipei. The hot springs are great to relax and very well maintain. The staff is nice. The men are much friendlier than the women for some reason that I cannot explain. The chef even came to take a picture with me the last...

To summarize it, at Tien Lai resort you pay Four Seasons room prices and you get an old and run-down hotel which (at max) has 3-Star standard. Rooms at the resort are big however need some urgent renovation. Interior is oldish (everywhere in the hotel) and bathrooms need an urgent, modern touch up. You have room service only from 7pm-10pm...

We have been to Tien Lai about 5 times. Around 75 minutes from Taipei by regular one hour bus service from near Taipei main station. The bus stops directly outside the resort. Whilst this is also a hotel, we have never stayed, but go there to use their hot springs which are fabulous. They have pools of varying temperatures and...

Very comfortable hotel located at Yang Ming Shan, with nice hot springs, swimming pools. Location not very convenient, food choices very limited. There are pool table, table tennis and basketball court.

We enjoyed staying at the hotel although it's far away from shopping area and attractions. But the hot spring facilities and nice mountain view has already make it worth while to just stay in the hotel and relax. There's a variety of outdoor hot spring pools to enjoy from varying in temperature and steam room, cold spring and hot spring...
