We stayed at the hotel for two nights and it was one of our best hotel experience. The room has a high sunroof ceiling shaded with blinds. The room comes with private hot springs tubs, one fills with hot spring and one fills with water from the mountain streams. The beds and all the facilities in the rooms are well-kept;... More

We booked the room with a private hot-spring with the queen bed (they have 2 options: tatami type and bed type). The bed was quite hard and we woke up with body aches! But overall we experienced great service at this hotel and enjoyed our stay very much! We utilised the in-room hot spring 2-3 times and order room service... More

The rooms were comfortable and nicely situated. The only downside was that the location was ~20 mins away from the old street (this could be a good thing if you want something more serene). The hotel staff, however, was extremely accommodating. My SO and I arrived 2-3 hrs early and thought we might have to wait with our luggage. The... More

Good location but with bad management. Booked a japanese style room. The room was spacious and set up just as pictured. Water damage everywhere when you look up close. Smell of mould and mildew from water damaged rotted wood in bathroom, horrific black mould under straw mat. Supposed white sheets are cream color, worse of all, they did not change... More

It was really a nice surprise checking into Spring Spa Hotel. About an hour's journey via taxi all the way from Taipei and cost us by meter fare TWD$930 but it will be advisable to agree on a flat fee with the cab driver first as you do not want him to be upset over the long distance. TWD$1200 should... More

Nice room, nice staff but the hotspring baths are different for men and women as it is a naked bath thing (we didn't like that part, the only guy in or group was alone ...) The food is not of the best quality, but ok I guess

Very good boutique hotel - clean, nicely set up, futons on floor, comfortable sleep. Friendly staff, a bit difficult communicating in English but understandable; 1km from the 'town centre' and no pedestrian path to hotel (cars drive very fast so be careful after dark); however taxi is $150TWD. Breakfast is set meals only; reasonable prices for dinner; expensive taxi (per... More

We stayed in a Japanese room for 1 night in June 2015. The room is nice except the peeling paint near the windows and part of the baseboard shows signs of water leakage from the washroom. The tatami is very clean and the spacious bathroom with a huge bathtub for 2 and a shower area is a nice touch. The... More
