We stayed in Windbury. The cottage was clean and comfortable. The area is lovely and we managed a couple of demanding walks along the coastal path. Martin provides plenty of information to enable people to choose how to spend their days. He was always ready to help with any queries. He even offered to pick us up from a walk...

Dear jean5050, Thank you for writing such a nice review of your stay in Windbury Cottage. It is always wonderful to read that you found the cottage to be clean and comfortable. We always try our best to make it so. The coastal path is quite challenging between Westward Ho' and Bude, although it is a much more gentle walk...

This was a perfect break for us. We really needed to get away from work and noise and pressure. Barley Cottage is a lovely, well equipped little place, tidy and clean, very private and totally quiet and Martin, the owner, was lovely, attentive and caring without at all being intrusive. And it was a very pleasant surprise to arrive to...

We returned to Yapham last week for a 4 day break and it was as perfect as ever. The cottage was spotlessly clean, the wine and scones left complimentary is a lovely touch. Nothing was too much trouble for Martin and the owners, we even picked apples in the orchard! We enjoyed popping down for a spot of fishing at...

The cottage was very comfortable and in a fantastic location. The coastal paths are accessible from a free car park a short drive from the cottage. Not only was there a cream tea, bottle of wine and a box of chocolates, but they also went the extra mile in other ways - for example, the mattresses had been treated to...

We had a lovely week in Hartland as we were lucky with the weather and found some beautiful coastal walks, particularly near Morwenstow and also from the cottage to Clovelly. We stayed in Barley and the cottages are in a lovely and very peaceful location. The garden room/conservatory was very nice and spacious and wonderful for watching the birds and...

We were so looking forward to staying at Yapham cottages. A very long awaited break. We were presented with a very different image of what we were expecting. The cottage smelt of damp and fly spray. The furniture was filthy and tired looking. The bed was disgusting. I later found out that they only clean and launder the pillows and...

Dear Paulie1926, Thank you for your review. I was most surprised to see your allegations when I received your email. Although you stayed for three nights, not once did you come to see us regarding these complaints. I told you upon arrival, that if you needed anything, to just come down to the cottage and let us know. Even upon...
