Last summer, I drove my family of 5 from So Cal to Zion National Park. It was sort of last minute, and the only location with available camp sites was the Ponderosa Ranch Resort. The Resort has a variety of accommodations from houses that you can rent, variety of Cabin Styles, wagon tents, down to basic dirt camp ground sites....

Unfortunately, I was in a hurry when I made a reservation for this resort for September 2017. I did quickly read that I could cancel this reservation until August 24, 2017 so I went ahead and made a reservation online. The next day, my family determined that we would be going a different month. I went online to cancel the...

We receive guest from all around the world, and advance confirmed reservations are important. We offer eight lodging types, dining, and a wide array of recreation activities, on the upper east side of Zion National Park, away from the crowds.

This place looks like it has a lot going on, and it does! It is a great location to get away from the very crowded Zion town/super busy campground. You can hike into Zion via a path north of this property, which is pretty cool, especially if Zion is super crowded! Kind of like sneaking in the back way. You...

We appreciate your kind comments and are glad that you enjoyed our location on the upper east side of Zion National Park. Our guests truly enjoy the wide range of activities, and lodging options that are available to them at Zion Ponderosa.

Nice place, but quite a distance if you want to do the hikes in the Zion National park. The kids liked the pool. The food in the restaurant was ok, but nothing special. WiFi worked in the wagon which was a nice surprise. The activities seemed expensive and since we wanted to hike, we didn't book any of these.

We're glad you enjoyed the pool and wifi. We are located on the east side of Zion National Park, and while our 4,000 acre property is actually on the boundary of the park, we are seven miles from the east gate of the park via a nice paved road. Many guests enjoy our location away from the crowds, and there...

I don't enjoy writing bad reviews, but after staying at many other great places on our UT trip, I need to tell it like it is... We stayed in a Cabin Suite the week before Christmas. The place was a ghost town. Everything was closed - the restaurants, the hot tub, the front desk. Someone was available via phone, which...

We did not stay at the Ponderosa but went canyoning with them at Birch Hollow. We had a group of 7 and our guide was Eric. We went over the Thanksgiving weekend and the temperature was just warm enough that it was comfortable. It took all day but the canyon was great, spectacular scenery. A couple things to note, it...

Our canyoneering trips are truly once-in-a-lifetime experiences for many people. Visitors do not need to stay with us to take advantage of our many recreation options such as Jeep tours, ATV tours, horseback riding, zip line, climbing wall, paintball, rifle shooting, and more. Thanks for your review.

Books a cabin but they do not have internet so I had to cancel. I wanted to stay on this ranch but without internet it was not feasible. If they ever put it in their cabins I will stay there in a heart beat because it's beautiful

We do offer wifi to our cabins, and each of our vacation homes also has internet access. Come check out our new campground and glamping site opening in 2017.

We rented a lovely, large Vacation Home at Ponderosa for the Thanksgiving week. Overall it was fine, except for quite a few huge cobwebs on the chandeliers and high windows and the basement being very chilly, despite the furnace. There was a lack of drinking glasses, and also no working can opener. The main TV would not run DVDs without...

We stayed in a Deluxe Cabin. Though no fault of the Resort, when I had looked for accommodations near Zion NP, the first thing that popped up on Trip Advisor was a $50 a night special. Only after having concluded the rental, did it become apparent that this was the rate for an RV parking place! To get a room...

We almost had to sleep in the car during the month of November if we had arrived 20 minutes later. We showed up at 1030 pm only to find out that we were assigned an RV spot. I showed her the reservation of a room for 2 people for 1 night. She called around to find us another place, which...
