Enjoyed a weekend here in the fall. Stayed in a room with two beds. The rooms were clean and well maintained; the bed was comfortable. The bathrooms were a little worn, but clean. The balcony had a great view of the mountains.

So we went the week of Thanksgiving. It was crazy cold. The lodge is neat. Best views from the restaurant. The coffee shop was also wonderful. We grabbed a couple Irish cream shots from the bar to add to our dinner coffee(perfect)! The rooms were ok but the TV maybe got 2 channels. The door lock sucked especially when you're...

The resort was nice. Good views from the rooms for the most part. There is a great sunset hike nearby to Miller's Head (?) that was short and beautiful. The service was pretty good. The food at the restaurant was okay, but I recommend splitting meals, as the portions are enormous.

The views from most rooms are wonderful. The days and nights were cool which was good because our room didn't have AC. Coming from the heat of the valley it was a relief to feel the mountain breeze. There are lots of walking and biking trails, nature sight seeing and quiet. Don't plan on cooking anything as no rooms in...

This is a unique experience to wake up looking out over waves of mountains into the Shenandoah Valley. Excellent access to hiking trails. A great place to stop. The hotel is not modern but the views are amazing.

We had 1 night here on our driving tour of the area. Another 1 or 2 nights would be ideal. Accommodation is basic but the only added to the experience for us. How lovely to sit out on the verandah and take in the view and sounds. We had a room on the upper floor which we preferred. We ate...

Our family had a fun and relaxing time at Skyland. Views were great. My wife enjoyed reading by the fireplace in the lobby. The only problem we had was the restaurant and bar began running out of food/drink due to the end of the season.

Shenandoah Park isbased around Skyline drive which winds it's away along the ridge at the top of the Blue Ridge Mountains. As you drive along one minute you get great views to the right, then round the corner and the view id the other way. There are many places to stay - when we were there everything else was closed...

The location is undeniably gorgeous, up in the Blue Ridge Mountains and with sweeping views of Shenandoah Vally. We were there for the 3-day veteran's day holiday. It was the last of the 3 lodge/resorts in the park that was still open. Unfortunately, it just seemed they decided to wind down before their guests all departed. They were booked solid...
