The lodge is great. Perfect location in the park, decent food, not at all fancy, but they have all the things you need. Don't miss the rock wall, amazing views, canoes, !rails, and courts. Oh, and a wonderful selection of moderately priced wines!

When you drive in it looks like "summer camp", with lake, lodge & cabins. But the amenities (many/#) are awesome. Our room wasn't ready, so the very friendly staff suggested having a glass of wine, (1) we brought our own which is allowed, no cover, on the back deck till our room was ready. WOW, the (2) view from the...

Yes - I read the reviews and I was scared. In fact, I mentally prepared myself the entire 4.5+hour drive up. Yes, it's not a 4-star hotel. Yes, there are no TV's in your room. Yes, there is pretty much no wifi (unless you are sitting right next to the fireplace in the dining/lobby area). Yes, it's a little loud...

We stayed in a 4bed room. The hotel is very nice, is not brand new and is not fancy, but I think it's very "mountain-like". I liked much the food (buffet), the stunning views and the staff. They were helpful. Try the outside pool!! I suggest you to go there, it's clean, and it's comfortable to visit the Sequoia Park....

Place has awesome views friendly staff and good food, lodge is simple but comftable, pack light because you have to carry luggage over a dirt road, very communal place. Great for families or couples drfinitely a way to disconnect yourself and enjoy nature, we will be definitely back

Thought we would never get there. Saw no signs for it and even drove past it twice before turning in. All of the other places we passed on our drive up from Bakersfield were closed for the winter, even one of the visitor centers; we were running low on gas and getting worried as the sun began to fall. But...

We were uncertain of our arrival in Sequoia, but were told there were plenty of rooms. I called late in the morning and there was only one room left so I booked it. I expected an aging, rustic property, but driving in to the property left me feeling I was too optimistic. Entering the old lodge put me in a...

Had an amazing weekend away at montecito sequoia lodge (montecito lake resort as the signs say). Located in between kings canyon and sequoia national parks, the conveniently located lodge has everything a vacationing family needs. Bunk beds, included meals, foosball, ping pong, kids activities including fencing and archery, s'mores at night. The list goes on. It's not fancy, just perfect....

Yep it's rustic so why the 5 stars? Because the lodging offered at Montecito Sequoia is as good as it gets in Sequoia National Park/Kings Canyon. So within the park, on a 1-5 star basis for winter lodging, this is as good as it gets. Now for the specifics: First off in keeping with my 5 star rating, Montecito has...

The bad, the food sometimes seemed like it was prepared by the late Helga Van Der Voort (my 7th grade lunch lady) but other times it seemed like they at least put a little effort into it. I wouldn't call the food hit or miss but maybe bunt or miss. Secondly, while the rooms seemed clean enough the bedding and...
