We just stayed one night so we could drive in one day and out the next - glad we did as Kings Canyon is stunning but a VERY wiggly drive. There aren't many options for accommodation. The rooms were comfortable and good value esp. compared to Wuksachi where we stayed the following night. The café is a bit basic and...

After a long drive from Yosemite and then along General's highway I was glad to have lodging at the bottom and not have to drive further. The setting was very nice next to the river and among the forest. THey have a small short-order restaurant and some days seem to have a BBQ outside. There is a general store as...

I booked this on line and didn't really know much more then it was in the Kings River Forest, (Sequoia National Forest) I thought it would be fun for my 5 year old to sleep in the forest, without having to have a tent to do it. If you are expecting a 5 star hotel, keep looking. That is not...

We chose to stay one night at Cedar Grove Lodge because it met our needs and our plan to drive down into the canyon one day and out of the canyon the next day. It is basic lodging, but it is clean and well located for exploring the canyon. We had a little difficulty in the beginning. The lodge can...

We stayed here for only 3 nights but by the end of it we felt like we had really got to know it. It only has about 20 rooms so everything is very tight knit and the people running it are very friendly, they really did make the stay more pleasurable The rooms are basic but in a nice woody...

We stayed at the lodge for 4 days. Great location in the park - stunning setting. You don't go there for the food or luxury, you go there to be near trails and amazing mountains. For that, it is perfect. Not too much internet access, which was a bonus for me but not for my husband. : )

The Cedar Grove Lodge is beautifully located on the King's River. The food was excellent...get the pancakes. The dinner hours could be extended a bit later. The room was clean and the AC worked great. The mattresses are very firm, almost hard, this made it hard to get a good night sleep. I'm sure some people will like this. The...

The lodge is located deep within Cedar Canyon with the most spectacular views. Not to mention the roaring Kings River directly in front of the hotel. This is a hotel with small but adequate rooms. We had a view of the river out of our window. The rooms provide an A/C unit which is nice during the warm summer days....

Nice spot to get away and was very quiet. It was very easy access to the trails and we were able to enjoy the river. The 1st night we were able to barbecue and enjoy the solitude of our surroundings. The 2nd night we ate at the little cafe and sat on the deck. The food and waitress and cook...

Cedar Grove Lodge is not luxury digs, but then it doesn't pretend to be, and we're not looking for luxury when we go to Kings Canyon. You get a pretty standard 1960s-style room that has not been updated. Our room was clean and functional and the bed was adequate. The staff is bare-bones -- you might have to look around...
