Given to the fact only motel in the area....and if you want to stay there then it's ok. You can hear the river rushing by, quiet etc. but the rooms are super basic, not even a coffee maker and the reception/market has limited hours. The wifi was surprisingly good, no tv. Beds were fine. Small bathroom with shower. I think...

Well, we were all set for a nice night on the river in Cedar Grove. Unfortunately, the manager, Ms. Cornell, thought there was an air conditioning leak when she saw condensation dripping from the a/c unit. The manager was hysterical and called the Park Service. Needless to say, the lodge was evacuated only to find condensation dripping from the a/c....

I thought, I had booked a two bed room, but on arrival found I had made a mistake, and only booked a double. We were with our 12 year old son, who had been sick on the windy drive down. The staff were brilliant, and sorted out a little fold down for us. Our room open out onto the river,...

It is very rustic...not the newest rooms/bathrooms by any means. But the setting is gorgeous, it is near hiking, and you feel like you are in one of the most remote areas of the lower 48 states...actually you are. The long drive down to the lodge ...well if you were hiking and got lost, I can't imagine anyone being able...

Stayed in a ground level room that had a small sitting area outside in front of the room. Inside sitting area was very tiny. The room was very small but we got a good nights sleep. It just wasn't quite up to what we expected for the price..., but then this is the only lodging (except camping) for 30 miles...

Although this place is now closed for the season - we stay a couple days ago - it is a great choice and out of all the crowds. Location is great with some walking paths around it. Close to some great hiking too. Like most of these parks around here, internet not so great.

At the bottom of the canyon but well worth the drive down. Beautiful scenery. Decided to buy food from store rather than from snack bar and there was a good selection of things to buy. Room clean and comfortable,

This is the only place to stay at the end of the canyon road that isn't a tent. The lodging was adequate. It contains a nice store and snack bar that provides breakfast, lunch and dinner at a reasonable price. If you plan to take advantage of all the trails in the canyon, this beats driving in and out each...

For sure the lodge is dated (70s or 80s?) and rooms not pristine but the location can't be beat. It's the only indoor place to stay in the valley so there's no choice. It is dusty since people come back from their hikes all dusty. It can be noisy. You can hear your neighbors bumping around and talking. Be careful...
