We stayed at the John Muir Lodge for two nights and we were very happy with the accommodations. From check in to check out the front desk was very nice. Made us feel welcome and they were there to make our stay enjoyable. They advised us if we were having dinner that night it was best to make reservations. Make...

We had a great experience over an Autumn weekend. But I'll caution you: you have to set your expectations appropriately. This is not the Four Seasons. And if you've stayed in wilderness or National Park accommodations before, you should know not to expect that. The room quality is about on par with a Motel 6, and that means you get...

This was a perfect location for our 3 day get away .. its very close to Panorama point and some other interesting sights in Kings Canyon. Situated on the northern part of the Sequoia-Kings National Park its not too far from the main Sequoia trails etc but just far enough to avoid the crowds.

Stayed here for 3 nights and found the experience unsatisfactory. Staff at checkin was unkempt and wearing dirty clothes. The public area in the Lodge needed a good clean. Our room was reasonably clean though the Venetian blinds were very dusty. The shop in the village had very limited stock. The service in the restaurant was slow. After returning at...

Great location, nice staff. I liked the updated and clean rooms. Breakfast is good but service was slow. The lady who helped me with the check out was really kind and helpful. We would love to go back in this beautiful lodge and stay a bit longer.

Accommodation very shabby and tired needs a major upgrade. We had an a deluxe room, I know deluxe and this is about as far from it as you can get. Lighting in the room was very poor, originally for two twin beds now a kingsize and all the lights were in the wrong place. Everything in the room was brown...

This hotel has been remodeled and is very comfortable, clean and in a great location for touring Kings Canyon. The restaurant has excellent food, but don't expect things to move quickly. There is one speed, so be patient and enjoy your surroundings. The lobby has a fireplace and is very pleasant and inviting. Each floor has a covered porch common...

John Muir Lodge is a great jumping off point to see these fabulous parks. Comfortable and clean, the lodge is named after the iconic John Muir. The lodge is right next to the road to Panorama Point, where the view is stunning.
