We were off season, so couldn't book in advance -- just first come, first served. But we need not have worried as the campground was less than half full, only about one third. There was no electric or water hook up, but there were flush toilets within easy walking distance. You will be about 45 minutes drive to the town...

Absolutely amazing forest, elk, river, camping...this is hands down my new favorite camping destination. Our campsite was more than ample, camp hosts were fantastic. The resident elk herd bedded down along the river bank and easily viewed all day. The Hall of Mosses trail was something I had been wanting to hike for a long time (I'm a plant fanatic...

First of all, this campground is off the beaten path. Don't go there unless you have everything you need, because there's not much to be had if you forgot it or run out. The campground is located about 18 miles off Hwy. 101, and it's not the greatest road. The speed limit is generally 35mph, with a short 45mph area....

This is a beautiful campground with many sites that are on the Hoh river. Clean bathrooms, as well as a utility sink that was very appreciated. No bear lockers near the sites (although I think I saw one central by the pay station), so bring bear resistant coolers or keep your things in the car. Black bears only, no grizzlies,...

Awesome campground in a rainforest! Campground is right in the heart of the rainforest, secluded campsites under trees with hanging moss. One of the coolest campgrounds I have been to in my life, very unquie. Walking distance to visitor center and hikes such as hall of the mosses. It's an overall great location for that end of the park, close...

If rain is in the forecast, where's the best place to go? To the rain forest! The Hoh River Campground is a bit of a drive from anywhere but is well worth the visit, especially if you are already visiting the Olympics. First, maybe because it's out of the way, you can almost always get a spot during the week....

We were lucky enough to get a large campsite by the river and it was great!!! The site had huge flat areas for tents.Sleeping to the sound of the river was soothing and made it so easy to get a great nights sleep. There were fire pits and the camp host sold bundles of wood for $5. Elk on the...

We arrived at Hoh campground around 12 pm, their visitor center was closed down for remodeling so they had a little trailer as the visitors center. They told us to find a campground and put $20 dollars for every night we were staying in an envelop and put it into a drop box. One side of the campground was pretty...

We arrived on a Sunday the second week of September around 12pm and it was pretty much empty, we secured a HUGE site right on the river. The campsite did eventually fill up by about 4pm though. It was wonderful. Quiet and beautiful. I can't wait to go back.

On a visit to Seattle went on 2 camping trips - first to the Cascades and then to The Hoh - sorry but Cascades just pipped it for me - however, The Hoh still amazing, and beautiful and green, and all those things you want from a temperate rainforest, and I should know, I'm a Brit! (according to the ranger...
