Detailed Reviews
Our family of 5 (mom, 2 teens, 2 grandmothers) stayed in the riverside “suite” for 1 night in July. It is a very tired property with no air conditioning, no TV, no internet, no phones (not even to call the front desk), no provisions in kitchen AT ALL unless you ask for a “kit” for a specific number of people. For some reason there was a hair dryer, but that was it! Not coffee maker, yet a full kitchen with fridge, dishwasher, microwave, and oven/stove, but NOTHING to use with them (except minimal dishes & pans with the “kit” you had to know to ask for before the front desk closes at 9pm). There is coffee to purchase at the front desk starting at 7:30am.
We did have a lot of room, with 3 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, 3 living rooms (one with 3 horrible pull-out chairs that we did not use — my son choose to sleep on the couch instead), a kitchen, and dining room. It was actually cheaper to rent this suite than to rent 2 cabin rooms, but there is only one of these suites.
Note that they must not rent this suite out much as the housekeeping & grounds crew was VERY loud in getting their supplies in the bottom portion of this unit. This unit is above the storage area. Quiet hours are posted as being 10pm-8am, but they woke us up around 6am (thanks for following your own rules!).
There were plenty of deer around, which was nice. Outdoor seating and grills around the property. We were next to the “river” which was a nice stream my son enjoyed skipping rocks on. The cabins are spread out & very cute from the outside.
The only reason we stayed here was for the hot springs because during Covid, they are only allowing people staying here to use the hot springs. It was basically 4 pools — 73 degrees, 101, 103, & 105. They all smelled of sulfur, so you will stink until you shower it off! You do have to sign up for a time slot when you arrive, FYI. We would choose to skip this next time!
Food was very limited, and not agreeable for us, so we had to drive to Port Angles just to eat and call family back home, which was 30+ minutes away. Bring your groceries and plan to eat in or find another place to stay!

Well...just don't get your hopes up. The only way the hot springs are included is if you get a $300/night room (not worth it by the way). They don't take cash and there are no signs anywhere saying such. If you are camping, you have two time slots in which you can make a reservation for soaking for 1.5 hr. It is still $15/person. If you come at a different time without a reservation, you can pay the same amount and go in a half hour later, if they have room.
With Covid, I understand needing to limit the amount of people and this is how they have seemed to be managing it. However, it makes absolutely no sense when all of a sudden you have a swarm of people in the locker room or in the front trying to check out. They literally make you wait in a line to go out. Then the locker rooms were disgusting. Hair everywhere. If you have that much down time and still making people pay full amount, then your facilities had better be spotless.
The last thing I will say is that the cashiers were just rude. The word I want to use is 'smarmy'. I get that this place is run by Aramark and not the NPS and the communication is lacking between the resort and the campgrounds, website, and reservation systems, but still...

We stayed at the large River Suite cabin (fits up to 10 people). It's a house with 3 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, full kitchen (though very sparsely stocked), dining room, 3 living rooms, large balcony, dishwasher, washer+dryer. It can probably host 20 college students roughing it with sleeping bags - but they only allow 10. There's a picnic area with a fire pit nearby.
The house got really hot and uncomfortable because it was around 85F during the daytime while we were there, but it cools to below 60F at night. Don't plan on trying to sleep before 10pm when the house cools down naturally. Bring plenty of fans to pull in that cooler air! The house itself was old and a bit rundown in places, but sufficiently cleaned and maintained and everything seems to be working. (didn't use the dishwasher)
The house was not cheap, but it includes unlimited access to the hot springs, which would otherwise be $18 per person per 90-minute session.
The hot spring itself was fantastic. I had read some reviews here and arrived expecting apathetic teenage employees, but found most to be quite helpful and friendly. I found the facilities to be sufficiently clean. Of course there will be leaves and bugs here and there (you're not at Gene Juarez, folks). And you'll probably get a few mosquitoes bothering you.
The food at the lodge restaurant is pretty bad. So it's best to plan to make most of your meals. Someone had mentioned much better food 30 min away at the Lake Crescent lodge and that was spot on. It's run by the same hotelier company with a similar menu but quality was day and night. Plus it's a nice change to play in the lake.

Wonderful place to relax, step away from the crazed world.. The pools have different temperatures...all wonderful. There are also cabins each separated, basic, nothing fancy.....but functional. Also there is a cafe and gift shop. This is a seasonal business and reservations to stay there are recommended ahead of time.

We've visited many hotels in the National Parks and this was similar to others. They have cabins to stay in that were clean, but plain. No AC, fan, TV, Internet, or cell service - so be prepared for those things. That being said, we were prepared and enjoyed turning off for a few days. The Hot Springs were nice and we visited just after opening during phase 2 of the pandemic, so everything was clean and nice. They were limiting guests in the pools to help with distancing, so you had to sign up for a time to visit the pools. We enjoyed the various pools and conversations with guests about their experiences during the pandemic. The restaurant was limited, but they did a good job serving as there is no other place to get food. We would stay here again because of the location, but not a classic "resort" with resort-like amenities. Access to trails and river were great.

My sister and I stayed here for 1 night while visiting the Olympic NP area. The first night we stayed at Log Cabin Resort. This location is about 17 miles back into the forest so pretty much the middle of nowhere which is nice to disconnect. During check in the girl was friendly and we booked our time slot for the hot springs, you can reserve 90 minutes at a time and during Covid the pools are only available to people staying at the resort/in a cabin. One thing that was disappointing was that the girl sold us 2 bundles of wood that she "thought" that we had a fire ring at our cabin area, NOT, so we left with 2 bundles of wood that we never used. I feel that the staff should know their "product/amenities". So besides not having a fire pit the only thing outside the cabin is a picnic table. The cabin itself was pretty basic, 2 queen beds, table and chairs and bathroom. It would be nice to at least have a coffee maker/mini fridge/microwave....and also for the price which seemed on the high side for the lack of amenities....but will say that the hot springs were relaxing and we thoroughly enjoyed that part of our stay. If you are looking for no frills and "off the grid" this is the place for you!

Great layout of the pools but really crowed (Wednesday & Thursday). I stopped by on Wednesday to make a reservation for the next day as phones weren’t being answered and 100 people allowed for 1.5 hour sessions throughout the day. The bath, changing rooms and showers were small and filthy. Gobs of hair were in the shower floor drain. No toilet paper. I laid my used towel on the floor to stand on while putting my clothes on and it was so muddy. A small notice was taped on the side of the counter when I checked in citing a high percentage of bacteria was in the fountain pool (most people &kids use that one). I asked the clerk and she said she didn’t know what it meant that it was an old posting. I told her it was dated the prior day and she should know about those postings. I avoided that pool, stayed for 30 minutes took a very thorough long shower with lots of soap I brought since none was in the showers. The staff seemed like they didn’t really care about the place - just take your money. I give the place a D and won’t go back. Maybe others don’t care about cleanliness but I do.

We stayed in a cabin and enjoyed the hot tubs. The highlights are the unexpected great quality of the food served there, and the cooler swimming pool which feels like clean river water. Of course the hot springs were soothing, but the lifeguard allowed twice as many people as the signs allowed for proper social distancing. The changing rooms, and bathrooms apparently are not available , and there appears to be NO bathrooms available while you wait to check in, which can take over 3 hours if you show up around noon early like we did. The bathroom was secured by the lifeguard, but not monitored by check in staff. Luckily we found a short loop trail and trees.

Had a two queen cabin, and we were so disappointed in the whole experience. The bathtub was almost fully clogged with a shower the height of my chest, there was no view at all from the cabin except people looking in from the parking lot, the fan made a terrible noise, there were spiders, and the bedside lamp was difficult and too bright. With the knowledge in advance that the website laughably overstates its tiny simple overpriced food menu, we brought our own food, but the lack of microwave or frig made it feel like a money grab to get you to the kitchen (or I guess to spend $50 extra on a kitchenette cabin). After all this, it could have been salvaged with a nice lobby to retreat to, but it appears what was once a lobby has been overtaken with a gift shop - more money grab - so there's no escape.
The springs - I've stayed at two natural hot springs before, and my partner another, and we can say with confidence these were depressingly dull, small, crowded, and uninspired. We did hit a stroke of good fortune in that we decided to go in the evening instead of the next morning, when the power was out. Instead of having backup power they simply closed the springs, which could have been hugely disappointing.
When we pulled away down the road, we both felt relief at how much more comfortable our car was. Not the feeling you want while leaving a "resort".
All together this was worth maybe $150 tops, including staffing a remote location, hot springs, and inflation. The rest was price gouging. If you really simply must see the springs, stay at the Lake Crescent Lodge 40 minutes away for $150 and spend $20 on a session pass to the springs. The Lodge offers a gorgeous view, nicer staff, a warm cozy lobby, boat rentals, good food, wifi, and the same simple bed for a much better price.

Went to Sol Duc with 3 generations, including our toddler grandson and we all enjoyed the hiking trails, river, and hot springs. While we adults relaxed in the 103 degrees pool, our grandson liked the 98 degrees wading pool (supervised, of course).
Because of our group of five people, we stayed in the spacious River Suite, near the burbling (and slightly sulphuric smelling) river. Rooms and kitchen were clean enough, if you didn't look far, such as in cupboards or corners. It seemed to have been cleaned in a rush. The upkeep of the building was similarly shoddy, with 21 out of 25 of our windows spattered with brown paint from whenever it was painted, which marred the views. The king bed was comfortable, but the three other beds were quite rickety and one had a metal headboard that was not attached, rattling around. The suite is several steps up from camping, but still NPS style and much the worse for wear. There's no way to contact staff except by tracking them down in person at the lodge (or on the grounds, working). When we did interact with staff, they were friendly and helpful. We were glad we had a chance to stay at the resort and explore this beautiful part of the world!

Yes, but there is a charge for a visit slot. I don’t remember the length of the slot, but I think it is 60 minutes to 90 minutes. We camped there, but you could also stay in an inn and drive to the resort. Also bring your own towel or there is a towel service available. The gift shop is also nice.
I wouldn't bother bringing bikes. I don't think there's a flat piece of ground anywhere but the parking lot.
Just saw your question about the hot pools at Sol Duc Hot Springs. I do not recall any bubbling, forced flow features. There are three pools, warm, warmer and hot. The water enters from a spring fountain in the center of the hottest pools and flows to the others through filtered pools pumps, no seating location jets.
