SSCL was an experience of a lifetime...everything, from the food to the lodging and scenery, made this a trip we will never forget. David and Joanne (owners of the lodge) went out of their way to ensure that our experience was first rate and they made us feel like family...like they had known us for years! Nicer and more gracious...

I stayed at the Silver Salmon Creek Lodge in June 2015 (not 2016 - I have only just joined Tripadvisor to write a review). If your intention is to live around bears from the comfort of a pleasant lodge, then this is the place to be. I could watch the bears from the bedroom window. Even during the short time...

Stayed for 8 nights, awesome!! I was here for bear viewing & photography on an organised trip from the UK, (natures images) a very welcoming arrival which continued during our whole stay, Joanne & David the owners were just great!! Equally the guides, kitchen staff were excellent, food was plenty and to a great standard, so never hungry, cabins were...

It rained 3 out of 4 days which makes September not an ideal time to visit. We flew in on a 6 seater and landed on the beach. A photographers dream to get up close to the Bears. We got to see many bears (mother & cubs too) eating grass in the fields; clamming & scavenging on the beach at...

We spend incredible 48 hours in the Silver Salmon Creek Lodge (and by incredible I mean that 4 weeks later, it is hard to believe we were really there). David and Joanna the hosts, their family, and the staff run a very smooth operation - everything about this lodge is top notch, from the personal booking process, the help with...

We parked our RV in the Natron Air private parking lot in Soldotna and dry camped for the night. In the am, my husband and I flew to Lake Clark National Park. It was pouring rain, but our pilot had no trouble landing on the beach. We were met by the lodge staff in atv's pulling carts for us and...

I took my son to Silver Salmon Creek Lodge (SSCL) in mid August 2016 to celebrate his 21st birthday. It is hard to imagine how our stay could have been better. Most of the people who visit SSCL do so for the unbelievable opportunities to photograph coastal brown bears, eagles, puffins and other wildlife. And while that was a factor...

We stayed 2 nights this July and out of our 19 day AK trip, this was our absolute favorite!! Although we were able to view the bears in the wild and very close, we never felt in danger. Our guide Brian was a perfect young man who we felt very comfortable around and our memories are just priceless! He was...

Nice facilities, terrific people, excellent food, and BEARS. Memories that will last. Corays run a great operation in some very unique circumstances and deliver a five star service. Will definitely return.
