This was my first time staying in an actual campsite at Joshua Tree. I would stay here again. $20/site per night. Pros: Very scenic and picturesque grounds, especially if you want to see a lot of Joshua trees. This is one of only two grounds, I believe, that has flushing toilets. I went in spring 2016 and the bathrooms were...

I really wanted to like this camp ground. The restrooms were well maintained and the grounds were clean. There is potable water spigots located throughout. There are no showers here, but across from the Joshua Tree visitors center in town is a place that offers them for 7.5 minutes at a time for a small fee (Coyote Corner?, I believe...

We went in October 2016 for our first time to Joshua tree. The setup was very easy, they had bathroooms, a fire pit (bring your own wood), and a picnic table. Two great items to bring were extra chairs and some type of shelter, we brought a beach umbrella. Very nice experience over all. The negative side of the experience...

I visited Black Rock Canyon this August. The campground is located at the Joshua tree national park's northern end. The area is a great place to go if you want to do a day hike or a few days of camping. There are a few picnic tables and a visitor center in the main area and a few hiking trails...

This is an ideal campground if you're coming from LA area; it's the northwesternmost tip of Joshua Tree NP with great access from the highway as well as great access to trails from the campsite itself. No offroading required here. This place loses a star because it's not maintained well.

Black Rock Canyon Campground is a dry camping area within the Joshua Tree National Park. Campers are allowed tents, small trailers and RVs. The area is noted for hiking, photography and rock climbing. There are limited toilet facilities.

My wife and I decided to make an impromptu trip to Death Valley in the middle of March 2016 to see wildflowers, and decided to make a reservation at this campground in Joshua Tree NP as a stop along the way. I'm just getting around to writing the review now after finding my notes on the trip and reliving my...

Pros : closest to town, water, trash cans and bathrooms. Decent amount of space between campsites . Cons: this was more brush filled, where I think camping among the rocks would have been nice and provided more shade and shelter from the wind. I think I would go back and pick another site if I could but still enjoyed our...

The countryside is desert with a smattering of Joshua Trees. We "dry camped" in the Black Rock Campgrounds. Lots of other there as well. Generators can be run during certain times. No potable water available so come well prepared. Very quiet, great sleep. We had full phone reception with T Mobile

We stayed here 3 days over a busy weekend. The campground was full, but didn't feel crowded. The sites were all different sizes, some small, some large, so look around first before choosing a site. The campground hosts and rangers were friendly enough and they were helpful giving us information about the various hiking trails. There is a ranger station/visitor...
