If you go to Grand Canyon for exploring nature, walking and hiking, Maswik Lodge is a great choice. We stayed there for one night after hiking down South Kaibab and Bright Angel Trail up. The rooms are rather simple and old, but it's clean and quiet and reasonably priced. We slept well, and the food court has a reasonable choice...

Rooms were clean but a bit run down. Location was a 5 minute walk to the canyon rim. Wifi was a joke, but I knew that going in. Lodge cafeteria was ok, nothing fancy. I would stay again if I was unable to get one of the hotels on the rim.

A great place to stay for an overnight visit to the Grand Canyon. The room and bath were small but had everything needed for a night's stay, including mini fridge, microwave, iron, and Keurig coffee maker. I feel many complaints are unfair. If one wants 5-star accommodations and gourmet dining, don't stay overnight in a national park. The food service...

My husband and I found the employees to be short and rude when we tried to find out some hotel information. Our room was not in good shape at all. I will include a picture in my review. I always remove top bedding off of bed and here is what was on our bed here. We had two servings of...

This was a good place to stay while visiting the park. The room was clean but minimally furnished. Room was large with a ceiling fan and noisy heating unit. Coffee maker was nice. Lighting was minimal but I just may not have been able to find additional lighting. BUT when all is said and done where else can you look...

This hotel is little more than a glorified motor lodge. It is about a 7 to 10 minute walk to the Canyon rim, with no view from the rooms. Wi-Fi is a joke: it is barely faster than dial-up, and is limited to one device in a room at a time, making for some very disappointed teenagers during downtime. The...

My family enjoyed being close to everything around the Grand Canyon, including the Red Bus Route to catch the best sunset views in the evening. The main lodge was well organized, but it felt like the staff working the pizza pub was not interested in customer service so much as simply "dealing with customers". They ran out of individual pizza...

We stayed at Maswik lodge in April of this year, the location is very convenient. You do not need a car within the park itself, you can take the free shuttle the park provides. The room is a bit dated, there is no air conditioning, just fans, but we did not need an air conditioner in April. Staff is very...

We loved our stay at the Maswik lodge! The proximity to the rim is fantastic and the staff at the hotel is so kind and helpful. Don't think of this as five-star hotel stay… It is kind of like "glamping" (glamorous camping). But you just can't beat not having to fight traffic every day to come in to the grand...

Can't beat the location, which is what you are paying for with this lodge. Close proximity to the rim, and close to the food court. We were able to get pre made sandwiches at the food court for our hike down the Canyon, which was a plus. Also enjoyed watching basketball games in the evening at the Pizza Pub. We...
