WOW! The view from our window was full Lake McDonald. The rustic lodge was run like a 5 star hotel and even though there were visitors mad dashing around, the staff was calm and oh so very nice. The beds were amazing and it was just a full on experience to stay in such a historic building. Do you believe...

Having stayed here in 1973, I retained a very romantic vision of this lovely location and facility, complete with a roaring fire in the huge iconic lobby fireplace, cheerful staff, and a service culture. Shame on me for not doing better updated due diligence before booking our stay here. The location, of course, remains the same, and it's gorgeous and...

We absolutely LOVED our 2 night stay here. What a beautiful, romantic, inspiring building with such a fantastic history in this place. We so enjoyed exploring GNP, but our evenings were spent in the Lodge, on the 2nd floor on the couch or sitting at the game table reading, checking our emails, discussing plans for the next leg of our...

I wanted to stay at this hotel for its history in Glacier National Park. The lodge was built in 1932 and is a registered National historic Landmark. Unfortunately, this place is worse for wear and really showing its age. The Internet is only available in the main lobby, is woefully slow, and will not handle mid-sized photo attachments. I knew...

This is the place to stay on any visit to Glacier National Park. It is very convenient, comfortable and offers both a rustic, classic feel (with a wonderful lobby) and modern, updated features in large, remodeled rooms. The food was quite good and there is easy hiking and boat trips on the adjacent lake.

It is a lodge and done nicely. Beautiful lake out the back offering a lake ride. High end restaurant in the lodge but also other restaurant within the lodge area. No air conditioning. Convenient free bus service into the park. Internet service in lobby only.

We stayed at Lake McDonald Lodge for 4 nights and found it very comfortable. The room was very clean and rustic. It had been updated in early 2016. The beds were comfortable with many pillows. Amenities were good. The main lobby and the two upper lobbies were comfortable for sitting and reading. We were able to get adequate internet in...

Classic lodge style accommodations. Very clean. Excellent location on the lake. Quick drive to hiking trails. The restaurant was well run. Good portions and tasty food. We enjoyed a slice of huckleberry pie at the end of dinner... a perfect way to end the day!

We stayed in a lakeside and found the accommodation clean and comfortable. The food in the restaurant was very good, although their policy to seat people on "first come, first served" basis was a little inconvenient and frustrating - we had a 30-45 minute wait once we had given our name in at the door. The receptionist was very informative...

Stayed here with another couple in a two queen room. The room should have had one bed, not two. It was very cramped for four people with luggage. The building itself is incredible, however, and you should go see it even if you don't stay there.
