Fantastic visit to Denali and North Face Lodge, with too many highlights to settle on one or two. The setting is gorgeous, with a view of Denali when the clouds part and interesting hiking trails in every direction. The staff is stellar, all well educated naturalists who go from a warm welcome to preparing and serving meals to leading hikes... More

My five day trip to North Face Lodge was an amazing experience. Every part of the trip was a new adventure, from the bus ride in to the food, the hikes and the accommodations. I couldn't recommend it more highly! A wonderful, wonderful trip. Thank you

We just returned from Denali National Park, Alaska where we stayed at NorthFace Lodge. Our 5 day stay was amazing. Starting with the 90 mile bus ride from the Deanli Depot into the park to the lodge, we stopped for a lovely picnic early evening. The lodge sent buses to pick up lodgers going to NorthFace and Camp Denali. The... More

We recently stayed at North Face Lodge for 5 nights. It was spectacular and a memory to keep as a treasure. Yes, the ride in to get to the Lodge is very long but that was when we viewed incredible wildlife. We even watched two male moose sparring with each other, gizzly bears, caribou ..... terrific! The rooms are rustic... More

We visited North face lodge in 2011 and we still go back to the memories. Wonderful stay and the only way to see Denali properly. The food was amazing and the excursions and hikes were out of the world. We were there for three nights and the staff were most knowledgeable.

North Face Lodge did not live up to our expectations. We expected a spectacular back country experience, but instead had a rather substandard less than spectacular experience. Sure the scenery is amazing - when you get a glance of Mount Denali, but everything else was disappointing. First, a tortuously long school bus ride to the Lodge. So bad that we... More

North Face Lodge is at the end of a very long (6-8hr) bus ride from Denali Village, which is itself a long haul from Anchorage. But, you're here for the adventure! Rooms are small but pleasant, with ensuite baths. Both heat and hot water (neither of which is standard in the more remote locations). No internet or cell service. Meals... More

North Face Lodge is a great location for exploration of remote wilderness areas of Denali National Park. Your room will face the great mountain 90 miles away from the park entrance. The location is isolated so all meals are served in the lodge dining prepared by first class chefs, who come out to the dining to introduce the meal. The... More

Several blue and white school buses from the North Face Lodge picked us up from the rail depot, close to the base entrance to the park. Our driver's name was Simon who provided us with an informative enthusiastic and inspiring narration about the local wildlife, scenery and history of the national park. We arrived at the NorthFace lodge to a... More
