An oasis of green in the desert, the chalet style rooms have real character and views of the mountains, worth waking at dawn to observe. Make sure you wash at least one shirt and hang it on the veranda. Check it in 15 minites and it is bone dry, honsetly!!! We enjoyed everything about the resort with the exception of...

We stayed at the ranch when the US government shutdown was happening. All roads in death valley were closed except the main highway through it. Thankfully our hotel was still open. It was a great place to stay. We were in a cabin which was great but a little small but this was fine. The shop and restaurants were great....

Furnace Creek Ranch offers all the amenities you would expect or need in the middle of Death Valley. The restaurants offer a good selection of meals whilst the gift shops will sate your appetite for souvenirs as well as some essential supplies. Rooms are comfortable & ours had a great view of the swimming pool, tennis courts & Borax museum....

So you're travelling to Death Valley and need somewhere to stay...this is the place. Although there isn't a great deal of choice in the area this hotel has everything you might need. It looks like something from a western from when I was a kid. The rooms are in blocks, they have two queen beds, separate sink, shower over the...

Resort in the middle of Death Valley. It provides a museum, a cafe, two restaurants, a golf course and a shop, all very welcome 'in the middle of nowhere'. Not luxurious at all, but the rooms are nice and clean and above all: located around a nice greenfield. The spring-fed swimming pool is really fantastic and the WiFi (which is...

We spent two nights here to explore Death Valley National Park. Rooms are a bit dated but everything is clean and functional (especially the air con - which is much needed!). We were in the Resort part and went to see the Inn which was under renovation so perhaps will have better rooms? Good location to visit the sites of...

Get a map of the park beforehand - you need a plan to make the most of a single day's visit. It's not until you get to Furnace Creek Visitor Centre that you can get a proper handle on the place, and that's a long way into the Valley, and that's where you'll find news of opened/closed roads and trails....

It is in a remote area and they have no competition. The prices in the restaurant and grocery store are 2 to 3 times the normal price. If money is a concern to you, bring food and drinks with you. Anywhere else, this would be a mid-range, 2 1/2 or 3-star hotel. It is not luxurious at all. The Wi-Fi,...

Resort in the middle of the very hot Death Valley. It provides a cafe, and two restaurants. The buffet is really expensive. The cafe is casual but the hamburgers were very good. The rooms are very well located around a nice garden. Our air conditioning system was terribly noisy but completely necessary. This was the worst point of our stay....
