Make sure you know which property you are looking at, because Inn and the Ranch are definitely two different experiences. The Inn is upmarket. The Ranch is more casual, with motor inn style rooms, some more casual restaurant options and a large souvenir shop. We chose the Ranch mostly on cost, being a family of 5. We took two rooms...

Furnace Creek Ranch is a comfortable, welcoming place to stay after exploring the expansive, desolute landscape of Death Valley. We really appreciated the friendly atmosphere of the ranch with two restaurants, a bar, a general store and a swimming pool as well as multiple campfire pits. The most delightful experience was going out on the empty golf course to see...

As some previous reviewer stated, staying in the Valley avoids driving in daily, and how often will you come? That fit us, a once in a lifetime trip, and so the cost and sow quality of Furnace Creek was offset by the location, being in center of Valley. We stayed at the Ranch, in a "duplex cabin" which definitely needed...

We stayed several days at the ranch (with special pricing for longer stays for 55+ it was affordable). Our room was in building 700 and had a view of the golf course which was nice. Some of the other rooms look out on another building. We stayed on the first floor and had a small patio with two chairs and...

We did not stay at the hotel - but stopped by for a drink and to wander around. This place is obviously deep in history and fits perfectly in the desert environment. The building was interesting and the garden and pool area a real surprise. And, the drink were cheap considering everything else in Furnace Creek seems so expensive. It's...

Room was perfectly fine, with coffee maker, renovated bath, and beautiful views. Had dinner at the Wranglers Dining room one night. It was adequate bill was $60 for 2 for okay meal,...

If visiting Death Valley, you can't really beat the location of the Furnace Creek Inn. Then again, there aren't many options. Staff was very friendly and professional. They were well seasoned in the National Park hotel circuit, most having worked at other parks during the summer season. The Inn and grounds were tidy, the rooms are reasonably updated, considering it's...

We had a very nice stay to celebrate our 50th anniversary after staying at the ranch on our honeymoon. Good, comfortable room which needed some attention (bathroom door didn't close, missing curtain hooks). Small things, but for the price, someone should be looking after it. Restaurant has a limited menu--for a five day stay we had some trouble varying our...

Death Valley is incredible and this is a relatively affordable place that puts you in a central location to enjoy many of the hikes and sights. There's a pool, proximity to the park's visitor center, and access to a general store, museum, and several restaurants. So, put up with the less than perfect accommodations and enjoy your stay. It's worth...
