It is worth staying at the lodge for the astounding view and access to hiking right out your door. If it were located anywhere else, it would go out of business due to the crumbling infrastructure, unbelieveably poor service, and exhorbitant prices. The rooms are somewhat rundown but clean, have no AC, inadequate heat, and few modern conviences. We expected...

Very rustic look in the impressive public rooms downstairs.Fairly small queen bed room on 3rd floor bur nicely furnished except only one comfortable chair.Hotel fairlybusy so had some difficulty in getting a dinner reservation at a suitable time-8.15 is a bit late for us but much better than 5 pm. A comprehensive breakfast was available and service at both meals...

Don't pass up the opportunity of staying inside any National Park - you get to experience it at sunrise and sunset when most visitors have left, and when the light is best. The main part of the lodge had a very rustic, timber feel to it, but the room was just normal decor - could have been a room in...

Great location, but I would expect such a hotel for more. Service was a bit patronizing, and when they had a power outage, which I realize is not one of a kind, they simply failed to manage it. We had table to 20:30, and nobody bothered to let us or any of plenty of other guests that there would be...

We stayed here 3 nights in August, and due to unseasonal thunderstorms with lightning, the lodge lost power twice. The hotel staff handled the situation very well. Our Wizard Island boat tour was cancelled due to lighting forecast. We ended up spending lots of time in our room and in the great hall. Glad we had booked a top floor...

The Lodge is the best place to stay if you want to be close to Crater Lake. The Lodge itself is a beautiful, historic building that is something of a rustic version of the Ahwahnee in Yosemite NP. The interior is much less grand than some other national park lodges but as soon as your eye catches the blue of...

I urge you to stay more than one night at Crater Lake Lodge. One just cannot enjoy this tremendous natural wonder and the most-excellent lodge in one night. We tried. We did. Next time, we stay two or three nights, hike and boat and leave relaxed and happy instead of hurried and trying to wedge too much into a 24-hour...

We had a fourth floor room with two beds and the room was very spacious. The bathroom was sort of tiny but the sink was outside in the bedroom, so that helped with the cramped bathroom. We paid for a partial view and our view was awesome. The day was clear and the lake looked almost fake on the days...

The rooms were a little more bare bones than I expected for the price, but wasn't horrible for the other options available. I usually prefer camping in state parks, but went with my father who isn't an avid outdoors man. If I came back with older guests I'd stay again for the comfort, but personally I'll choose the campgrounds next...

My son and I travelled to Crater Lake as part of our Summer Photographic Roadtrip up the Coast of California, Oregon and Washington. The departure from the coast to Crater Lake was more than worth the time spent. It is a breathtaking moment when you first come upon Crater Lake and even more special to sleep at the Lodge and...
