We visited Kariega River Lodge at the end of our Garden Route tour of the Cape. Talk about saving the best until last! The warm welcome set the scene and our thatched room was comfortable but you do not come here for the room! Let’s get straight to it, the game Safaris are superb and our ranger Zolani enhanced the...

We stayed at Kariega River Lodge for 2 nights and we absolutely loved it ! From the moment you check-in until the very end of your stay, you can really feel that everybody working there are extremely passionate about what they do. We particularly liked the fact that only a reduced group of people can stay in the lodge as...

We recently stayed at the River Lodge and it was the most wonderful experience. The staff were great and the location of this lodge perfect. Thomas our guide was knowledgeable, patient and determined to give us our best wildlife viewing experience-and he did. Our night time boat cruise was the perfect way to wind up an evening game drive. The...

We have absolutely loved it! Although it has no TV in the bedroom and there is limited activity outside of the Safari , it is very relaxing, the staff are brilliant and very, very, very attentive. Sitting on the boardwalk looking at the river and seeing the wildlife is just wonderful. The food is good and plentiful and you are...

My husband and I have just got back from a stay at The Kariega Main Lodge. Our Chalet (No.24) was a large 4 bedroom, 3 bathroom affair which was spacious, clean and well presented. The open fire in the Living room was a nice addition, along with the large viewing deck overlooking the reserve and our own private plunge pool....

We enjoyed an amazing 2 nights at Kariega River Lodge. From the moment we arrived, we were made to feel welcome and at home.
