Beatiful park with a luxury stay (comfortable cottages, all meals and game drives included). Not specific for children. Altough for rich tourists, on the beaten track. But if you dont mind that, its recommended.

Thank you for adding your review. We are glad you enjoyed our beautiful private game reserve. We wanted to clarify that two of our lodges welcome children, Main Lodge and the Homestead. We provide specific children's activities with a dedicated co-ordinator at Main Lodge and our chalets are excellent for families with children of all ages. Similarly the totally flexible...

We enjoyed the safaris with Zolani very much. He showed us the Big Five (except leopards) nearer than we excepted. The Zebra suite is located directly at the river and is very special. We loved our stay at Kariega and will recommend the River Lodge to all our friends.

We were spoilt rotten at Settlers Drift and felt we were served like queens and kings. Everyone made our stay so special. Food and drinks were amazing. Our guide was just the best. The view from the balcony is breathtaking. Our stay exceeded our expectations. Everything was very personalised and felt unique. We miss it big time!

Loved the safari part of our holiday. Loads of variety in animals, looks after very well by game driver & all other staff. Great first experience of a safari! Make sure to wrap up warm on safaris as it can get cold!

Visited August 2016. My wife and I stayed here for 2 nights and wished it had been for longer. The location is quite remote but this only makes it really peaceful and quiet. Did two safari rides a day which was quite a lot but which meant we saw so much of the wildlife. It is just incredible experiencing even...

Our family had a wonderful time at the Kariega game reserve in early August. We stayed in the main lodge, which was perfect for children- ours are 12 and 9. I am so glad we stayed in a kid friendly lodge. We had a 3 bedroom and our own plunge pool- it felt so luxurious! The game drives were 2x...

We had a great stay at Kariega. During the course of our 4 game drives we saw a fantastic variety of animals. Our ranger, Sarah, was extremely helpful to us during our stay and her knowledge not only of the animals, but also the plants and environment was extremely interesting. We had one minor issue in that on our first...

A game reserve over two sites, the main road splits the two, containing all of the fabled big five. The cape leopard is very rarely seen (our ranger had only seen in twice in 18 months) but the other four were seen - albeit with some ranger liasing over the radios to find the lions! The famous white rhino Tandi...
