Had a wonderful time at Kariega. Our guide Gugu was fabulous! We saw lots of animals on each safari. Meals were good, service was perfect and staff terrific! The staff were always welcoming you back to the lodge after each safari with warm towels and drinks! We were very happy with our stay.

Our first safari did not disappoint, not many holidays where a tear starts to fall on leaving the lodge especially when one of the Giraffes had come to wave us off! Magical. We arrived at 4pm and were whisked out on our first drive at 4:30pm. Due to oncoming bad weather, Daniel pre-empted what may happen with rain the following...

Lovely place, spoilt slightly for us by poor weather (in Feb) so take an assortment of clothing! Didn't get to use our private plunge pool which was a shame, as not much sun. We saw a good selection of animals but be aware there are a limited number of lions, rhino, elephant etc, so you're likely to see the same...

Thank you so much for your lovely review. Great to read that you enjoyed your safari, stay and particularly the food at Kariega Ukhozi Lodge. You'll be pleased to know that our bathrooms will all be renovated shortly. We're definitely not the same as an East Africa experience and we're glad you enjoyed your Eastern Cape malaria-free safari. With kind...

We stayed here for 3 days and would highly recommend it. We saw lions, elephants, rhino, hippos, jackals, giraffes as well as different types of bucks, water buffalo etc. The accommodation & food are very good and the staff are very helpful. Teddy behind the bar is good fun & the spa has good value treatments too.
