We stayed 3 night and had 6 game drives. We were lucky and managed to hit a few dry warm days between rain - just the luck of the draw, but beware it does rain in February. Big room, with a fabulous view from the deck which is set high up on a plateau. We wished we'd brought binoculars. Better...

We spent four nights here visiting the Game Reserve. Lovely spacious accomodation with great food and service. Not many places have staff that can also provide great African singing. The view from the rooms is superb and the beds very large and comfortable. The food, wine and and the solicitous service first rate even if it was difficult to avoid...

This was the last stop of our amazing honeymoon to South Africa. We landed around 3pm and greeted by friendly reception staff before inductions to our guide for the next few days. Juan was our guide who was amazing and fun throughout. We stayed in the Ukhozi lodge which was lovely and spacious with fab views of grounds. The lodge...

Marvellous to see so many animals, some very close indeed!! Although we were there at high summer - it was still pretty cold on the game drive - the blankets & waterproofs were worn! I even wore my London layers - warm cardigan & puffa jacket. So nice to come back to the roaring log fire & excellent food &...

Must pay the highest compliments to the Kariega Ukhozi Lodge team. We have just completed 3 days there and loved every minute. The food was superb. The staff were excellent. The setting is stunning. Our guide Gladman (The G Man to us) was brilliant. Knowledgeable, charming and witty. The highlight was undoubtedly a night drive with Gladman. We stumbled across...

The lodge is in the middle of the game reserve. The ukhozi lodges are very roomy and beautiful. My brother and I felt very well in there. Corresponding to the accommodation we had several game drives with steph. She is a really good guide. We saw 4 of the big 5. The staff was very nice all the time. 4/5...

We spent 3 days at Kariega at the end of Garden route tour. Extremely comfortable spacious lodge with spectacular views from our deck. Juan our ranger was extremely knowledgeble on all of the animals, flora and fauna and very sociable. He was determined to find lions for us even if it meant extending the drive at the end of the...

We visited Kariega in the first stint of our honeymoon. The only disappointment was that we had single beds! As a same sex couple this is happens frequently but I didn't expect it as our travel company specified that we were on honeymoon twice. That aside, what an amazing experience. The staff were lovely and couldn't do enough for guests....

We spent 4 nights at Ukhozi Lodge in September; as we were just at the beginning of spring the weather was quite changeable and we did get some rain - but that didn't stop any of the game drives. We went out twice a day with our guide,Rosie, who was great - very knowledgeable and determined to find the animals...

Good game viewing: saw elephant, lion, giraffe, zebra, other big 5, buck of all kinds. No leopard spotted for many years and we couldn't find the buffalo. Beautiful terrain but perhaps more animals needed as they were sparse in areas. Rooms nice. Food sometimes great, sometimes very average. Helpful staff but could do with some additional training to just give...
