Arrived to a friendly welcome and escorted to our cottage. Nice and clean with everything we needed for a mid week winter getaway. Comfy king sized bed, enormous bathroom and kitchenette with everything you’d need if cooking is your desire, we preferred to eat out. (Clancy’s Irish pub is a 20 minute walk away and had great meals). The couch is a cosy 2 seater, a bit small but not a deal breaker.
The deck was refreshing for lunch, and the fireplace welcome at night. You really need this in winter as the aircon struggles alone to warm up the space, maybe because of the high vaulted ceilings. We expected some firewood to be supplied, but no. It is available to purchase at $10/bag on an honesty system in a handy spot close to main entry. We used a bag per night. We would happily return due to cleanliness, convenience and location. So much to see and do on the mountain.

With 10 friends we organised a retreat of 3 days and stayed at the property. The staff looked after us for lunches and diners and provided an amazing space for our group of warm, heart-centered and awake, maturely aged people (professionals in daily work-life). The space was very well equipped, a wonderful room to be in, share thoughts, ideas, develop community and just enjoy being together. The staff made us feel incredibly welcome. The food served was amazingly fresh (collected at a variety of eco-farms early morning), healthy and made with so much love!!! I can only highly recommend this retreat / wedding venue for any event, weekend stay (or week stay) as it is such a pleasure and enjoyment to be there. You will leave refreshed and have enjoyed it immensely.

The cottage was nice. We loved the rocking chairs and the full size spa. That's quite different from the usual corner spa's at similar places.
Very good is also that all the restaurants and shops (especially the cheese shop) are in walking distance. It was nice to not use the car for 2 days.

The cottage needs a bit of a stock up on cooking utensils, though. The biggest saucepan isn't big enough to cook pasta for two people, a strainer would be nice and the frying pan didn't look too good. Wifi wasn't working (a router restart may help). We tried on 3 devices.

Anyway, it was a very nice stay.

The moment we drove through the gates of Shambala the world became quiet as my soul began to sing. The spectacular accomodation overlooks the green rain forest and the gigantic bath soothed away days work beforethemozyxomfiryablebed eased me to sleep. Go….you will never regret staying at shambala

Such a beautiful little cabin. Awesome features, comfy bed and surrounded by nature! The cabin was only 2 minute drive from the centre of town where there was lots of food places and a local IGA. We will definitely be back!

My Husband and I stayed here Tuesday night - could not fault our stay. Comfortable bed, kitchen perfect for a one night stay. Our unit was clean and well equipped. The spa function on the bath has been disabled, but I still enjoyed a relaxing bath. The unit was so quiet, and perfect for a restful stay. Check in and check out was easy. Fantastic stay for us, and we'll be back!

3 magical days in a fabulous setting. If you’re looking for something special for your wedding, a retreat or function or just a wonderful place to stay, I highly recommend Shambala Estate.

I’ve just spent 3 days at a retreat and it was perfect for a pre-Christmas wind down. Shambala is a tranquil place with clean, high quality accommodation, facilities and stunning grounds.

The food was delicious, sourced locally and made with love by Shambala’s chef - you could taste the difference. You could wander the grounds and lose yourself in all the nooks & special places. The whole place has a very special magical quality about it.

Nothing was too much trouble for our hosts, husband & wife team Tony & Tara. They were always happy to assist in any way they could to make our stay the best it could be. We wanted for nothing. I can’t wait to go back.

It was amazing falling asleep to the sound of raindrops and waking up to the sound of birds rustling through the green leaves, a very relaxing place to stay on a weekend away. Comfy beds, a big spa bath, beautiful back deck to sit for a cup of tea and only 2 minutes from the main town. Beautiful gardens to traverse, very happy to have stayed here 🙏

If you’re looking for somewhere unique for a retreat, conference or wedding, Shambala is it. I stayed there recently for a retreat/workshop and it was magical. The grounds, the food and the service were sublime. The owners, Tony and Tara, are beautiful humans who know how to add that special touch. Although I was only there for a few days, it felt like a week. So rejuvenating. Just go!

We loved our stay here. Such a gorgeous, cozy and romantic place (would be for couples without kids lol)
The place is very clean, comfortable bed and pillows. Location is wonderful, close to many restaurants and attractions. Highly recommend it
