Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

After just finishing the Schits Creek TV series i was amused to stay in a place that reminded me of that show. However the views are incredible, next to an amazing pub and the peacock roaming the grounds in the morning with the bird sounds was a nice way to rise. Its a basic motor inn to rest your head you get what you pay for.

The Mount Tamborine Motel is a great place to stay at.It’s a good jumping off point to places like Binnaburra,Oreillys Retreat up in the Border Ranges. In summer time the weather is 5 degrees colder then Queenslands Gold Coast. It sometimes snows in Winter but only occasionally !!!

Really didn't know anything about this place when we booked. Welcoming staff. Room was spacious, clean and warm. View when we stepped out our back door was totally incredible!! Would happily return here. Great little pop-up French deli down the drive on certain days and right next door to St. Bernard's Hotel so food was never an issue.

Booked a 2 night stay to celebrate a very belated 40th wedding anniversary. Originally had booked 3 nights for $340, but due to unforseen event, changed to 2 nights for $304. Rather expensive change . Asked for a quite room, the room was at the top of the stairs, I do not think so !! No bath mat or hand towels and when asked for some, they turned up 2 hours later, well after having a shower. The bathroom needed a good clean, mildew on most surfaces of the grout, and patchy repairs in the bathroom. The verandah area needed painting and rust showing through the metal railings. Other guests had no regard for others with noise late at night on returning to their room and loud offensive conservations. Asked if we needed to book for St Bernhards Hotel for a meal , and was told no, but luckily we did as they were booked out. A great place for a meal.

Dear Yvonne, We thank you for staying with us and are disappointed you didn't enjoy your stay. Your original booking was made online through an agency of which you are a member and receive a 25% discount on rates for a three night stay. We have raised your concerns with housekeeping and maintenance, and thank you for the feedback. Unfortunately, we cannot guarantee a quiet room ... we gave you an upstairs room at the end of the building, so there would be no other guests passing your room. St Bernard's Hotel is a separate business and does not usually require reservations. Our apologies that Mt Tamborine Motel didn't suit your requirements. Regards, Vicki Howes

We needed somewhere for a quick overnight stay and didn’t want to pay premium prices for it. Everything looked to be booked out online so I rang the Mt Tamborine Motel and was booked into a double room within minutes. I wasn’t expecting much but we were incredibly surprised to find a very clean and comfortable room with breathtaking views and a large pool, plenty of parking and all in a very quiet area. Didn’t use wi-fi so cannot comment on that. We had dinner at the pub next door and had an early night - apart from some other guests (kids) running around for about an hour after we went to bed, there were no other noises and it was a perfect place for our night away. Will definitely return if we need short term accommodation at Mt Tamborine in the future.

We stayed for 2 nights and will definitely return. The room was clean and the bed very comfortable. The shower was good and there was reverse cycle A/C and overhead fan which we didn't need to use. Despite being right next door to St Bernards hotel on a Friday and a Saturday night, our stay was incredibly peaceful... the only noise was the delightful dusk rainforest sounds of birds and insects, including an owl echoing across the gorge. The outlook from the private balcony was breath-taking. You could see the peaks and gorges of Tamborine Mountain and the distant lights of the Gold Coast, all through the enormous trees lining the edge of the forest. Staff friendly, WiFi no problem. Only about 10 or 15 mins drive to the main attractions. Good value accommodation.

We stayed for a couple of nights at the Mt Tamborine Motel. The room was very quiet and comfortable, and check-in was friendly and efficient. Our room was on the ground floor, with doors opening out onto a small patio and bistro table and chairs, with views of the pleasant and well-maintained motel garden. The resident peacock was a friendly regular visitor in the garden. The location was perfect for us, away from the busier tourist area of Gallery Walk, yet still only a short drive to the facilities, shops and cafes, etc. The motel has a large pool, which our son enjoyed. The St Bernard's Hotel, with its resident St Bernard dogs, is next door, which can be handy for dining, whilst just up the road is the Tamborine Mountain Coffee Plantation, which serves great coffee. A pleasant stay and we look forward to staying here again in the future.
